FranceDune has an in-game time counter, which is displayed when saving/loading. It seems that the in-game time for the runs recorded in the website are mostly wrong. Kujgot didn't finish the game in 24 hours but 24 days in-game, which is the best in-game time in all recorded runs (but it doesn't appear that way on the site). Prospere didn't finish the game in 44 minutes in-game, but 44 minutes in real time, which is the best real time. Should we correct all the times for the Dune speedruns?
Also, Dune has a time-skipping feature, which can allow you to same real time at the cost of in-game time. So, you would run the game diffrently if you want to optimize real time or in-game time.
Hello Dat, sorry for the late reply. In fact, the run at 3rd place is finished, but was posted to youtube in 15 minute segments. If you want to see the whole run, you have to watch the entire video list. And yes, there is very recent activity, since I just beated my own record and I'm about to submit the video to the site :)

I wanted to try a little Dune speedrun, I just planned to train, but in the end I finished the game in 3h06min or so, and 44days6h in-game time. It was with the floppy version (with DOS-box), which is faster than the CD-ROM version. I made a couple of mistakes, so this time is definitely beatable.
I looked at the videos for the current WR for Dune. There is in fact a small mistake with the time. The in-game time for the WR is 24days 22h30min. The "real world" time is something about 3h15, since it's done with 13 videos about 15min each. It's really an impressive time. I don't know if it's possible to correct the time.
Last time I played Dune, it was the CD version, I didn't skip any cinematics or dialogue, had to load my save a couple of times, and I finished in about 11 hours (and about 70days in-game). So, if you intend to do a 24h marathon, I sugest you also choose another game for the rest of the time. Dune is just a wonderful choice, I love it :)

Hello! I see there is no "Glitchless" category for The Legend of Zelda. Or maybe I just missed it? I think it could be interesting, to help compare between the different runs, because obviously a run using glitches would be faster than a glitchless one. But I don't know if other persons are interested.

And I've got a question about the Legend of Zelda : if you enter level 1, then immediately leave and re-enter the dungeon, the door in the 1st room is automatically unlocked. Is that a glitch or not ? I couldn't have clear confirmation of this. Does someone know for sure ?
Hello everyone ! I just submitted my run of The Legend of Zelda, I hope it will be accepted. It's my very first speedrun, I'm really new at this kind if things (despite of my old age ! :D ).
