Hey, I'm going to create a "competition" for the first one who finds a bug/glitch that cuts the time, the first one who finds such a bug will have a special role with the name he wants on the discord server (not offensive), a channel where only he can talk and a category of speedrun.com in the meme category section (the one he wants to be logical).

DOUBLE SHOT IS BACK!!!!!

Hello everyone hope you are doing well. I wanted to make a quick announcement about double shot returning to bows. It is really great to see the biggest feature making its way back to rec room and hopefully reviving the speedrunning community. I do want to answer some possible upcoming questions you might have.

1. We will be resetting the leaderboards. Any and all runs that are on the current leaderboard that are post infinite shot (trying to figure out the date) to level the playing feild and make world record possible to beat again. So I will apologize if anyone will be upset about this change but this might sound rude, if double shot some how nerfs you (which most likely 90% of you might) and makes it impossible to beat your current pb during infinite shot then removing it will make it possible.

2. World scale will most likely be removed in the upcoming future (don't blame me this was a decision made by Phaseless and we are debating on it). This is not a confirmed decision but most likely it will be cancelled entirely. Top 5 will still be required to show world scale but it will not be allowed.

3. I do want to mention the Crescendo is also now on standalone. So good luck to all you standalone players because I’ve tried and it’s meh and as expected. Runs better than expected but still is definitely a step down compared to pc. But definitely am excited to see what time standalone players can get for CBM. But since they did patch mirror bug in CBM I will NOT be resetting any runs for CBM. The reason being that mirror bug didn’t save a huge amount of time to really make a difference to most runs. Runs were slightly faster but by 1 to maybe 2 seconds with this bug. If there are any issues with that we will discuss it.

These are the main questions or announcement that I wanted to address and hopefully none of you take it the wrong way and hope to see some official double shot runs.

Hello my name is still loading, I hope you all are having a good day and hopefully this doesn’t ruin it. This announcement is about a pretty big rule change. We the mod team will no longer be allowing any world scale. From this moment on world scale will be prohibited from any run. Top 3 or 5 players still will be required to show world scale at the end of their speedruns to prove that they aren’t using it. So from now on when you show your world scale and it doesn’t say it’s off and the % is lower than 100% your run will be invalid. If it’s higher which I don’t know why you would do that then it’s fine. This change was agreed by the mod team.

World scale rule change

Hello everyone, we the mod team have officially added in the new RRO (Run The Block) to the speedrun page for Category Extensions. The category itself features all the levels you can find in the game. It also has 2 run types (for now) being **Any%** and **Low Upgrades%**. Any% pretty self explanatory anything goes that fits within the games boundaries. Low Upgrades% is an any% category but you must use the least amount of upgrades as possible. **PLEASE READ THE RULES FOR THE LOW UPGRADES%!** Hopefully you all enjoy the new category and hopefully I see you all speedrunning very soon.

Run The Block Category

So we’ve been having issues. So we’ve recently discovered a new trick that can be used to boost/cheat runs involving Run The Block. Basically we found out you can copy Run The Block. And there’s a way you can actually alter your movement speed or any abilities. I will not go in depth about this trick because I don’t want people trying to do it and try to find a way around it. So speedrunning a copied room alone is already not a lot for any legit run. Because when we say you must speedrun this specific room we do mean specific. Copied rooms don’t count as that room if you are able to perform more tricks or alterations to that room. Basically make sure your on the source room.

So now comes to the big rule change and this applies to everyone including screen and VR. All players (Screen and VR) are now required to show the room menu showing you are in the RRO Run the Block instead of a copy. This rule will apply to all top 5 runs when the category has 25+ runs submitted for it. If the category has less than 25 runs than top 3 is required to show the room menu.

Any and all rules will still go as normal including world scale rules for vr players. Also any runs the have been verified before this rule change was made will still remain on the leaderboard as normal so no runs are being rejected at this moment. Hopefully you all understand and please make sure to read any rules on run the block.

Run the block rule update

Attention everyone, a new category for Category Extensions has been made. The category is called Mixed Weapons%. The category rules are as follows:

This category is Any% and only meant for multiplayer runs. Complete the game as fast as possible but everyone must be using a different weapon to main. You the player must select a weapon you will use throughout the entire run and everyone else must grab a weapon that isn't the same as the one you're using. You are allowed to use multiple of the SAME weapons. Note: In isle you everyone is able to use the cannon since it isn't really classed as a weapon. So the weapons that players may select to use are as follows;

Golden Trophy: Bows, Swords, Crossbows, Shields and/or pots (sadly there isn't a forth weapon in GT)

Jumbotron: Shotguns, Pistols, Burst Rifle, Rail Guns

Crimson Cauldron: Bows, Sword, Crossbows, Wands

Isle: Melee (Cutless, Stools, Broom, Padles), Throwables (Bottles, Jugs, Plates, Mugs, Coconut Bombs), Range (Flintlocks, Blunders)

Crescendo: Whips, Range/Throwables (Cross bow and Hunters Cross bow, Jugs, Plates, Flintlocks, Blunders), Melee (Shovels, Pitchforks)

Hopefully you all enjoy this new category and I am curios to see what new routes or strats will be made in order to beat the quest quickly.
