Submissions for our next winter marathon, ResortFest: Cabin Fever 2020 are officially open! Our 9th marathon is going to be, as usual, all online, and will be raising money for a small gofundme page, Julie's Fight, once again courtesy of Gooby. Submissions will close on November 30th, at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Time. A schedule reveal stream will be held shortly after a couple weeks before the marathon begins.
The marathon will run on the weekend before Christmas, December 18-21st
This marathon, we are gonna test a new feature during the midnight break portions of the marathon. Instead of simply having the Twitch page be offline during the night, we will be doing reruns of old tournaments and old marathon runs, so you'll always have something to watch during the night if you want to.

After a long, long time of people complaining about it, we've finally found a new home for the Category Extension IL's. We've decided to move Golf 3/9 Holes, Frisbee Golf 3/9 Holes, and Cycling 1/3 Stages to the main board, under new sub-categories you can view in the "Golf", "Frisbee Golf", and "Cycling" categories. We decided not to Move the rest of them (Power Cruising, Canoeing, and Showdown) for 3 reasons: 1. They're not main board categories, 2. They're not really that popular anyways, and 3. They would look clunky on the main board (For example, having 20 sub-categories for Showdown...) Hope you all enjoy the new changes!
I guess it's time to make this public as well: This will be my last act as mod for Resort. After thinking about it for a long time I've decided that my time in this position is up, and just isn't for me anymore. I'll still be active in the community and doing runs as always, but I decided it was for the best for me to resign. I want to thank the rest of the mod team and everyone else in the community for giving me this opportunity and experience, and I hope you guys can respect my decision. And as always,

To quote the "Game Rules" tab,

To quote the "Main Rules" tab in the rules - "You must run on a Wii, Wii Mini, or Wii U console, using an official Wii Sports Resort disc or the Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort Bundle disc. Doing a speedrun on anything else is not allowed (Emulators, USB Loaders, etc.)"
It is supposed to say that team mode isn't allowed in the rules because it's stated in the regular Golf rules, but I guess we overlooked that. Thanks for making us aware of this!
All Unlocks No End Stone
Getting Combat Level 12 is a huge catalyst in the run, and my friends and I couldn't find a way to do it without it taking over 2 hours of mindlessly farming mobs for Combat XP. Unless someone can find a way to do it in a reasonable amount of time, All Unlocks No End Stone I feel is gonna be needed.

Revamped Menu
Custom Golf Courses: The Storm Island Team managed to make the first 2 custom Wii Sports Resort Golf Courses! One of them is over Resort Hole 1, and the other is over Classic Hole 1. You can't complete it due to how the game applies collision culling to the cup. We are working on a fix for that but for now, the courses are for show.
510 Wind is back! Updates to Out of this World mode in golf.
Custom Swordplay Showdown Stages
This also brings in two new categories in the Level Leaderboard, which are Swordplay Showdown - Custom Stages, and Golf: 1 Holes (Custom)
Hello, everybody! I'm GamingLand, one of the admins of the ResortFest marathon. We'd like to announce that submissions are open for our brand new marathon, ResortFest: Revival! This will be our 8th marathon, and also our first marathon without our big man Cmdr. Submissions will be closed exactly a month before the marathon begins, May 6th, AT 12 AM EST.
Here's some basic but important information for you:
ResortFest: Revival will begin on June 6th and end June 7th, exact times are TBD.
This time around we'll be raising money for the Lupus Research Alliance, courtesy of our newest ResortFest admin, CountGooby.
This is not a 24 hour marathon. During the night we will be instead be doing "Sleep%" and resume the marathon the next morning.
As always, there's no theme to this marathon. You can submit whatever game you want and we'll be accepting any type of game.

Yeah, we already know. Although we believe All Balance Games is a better choice for the Wii Series Marathon category as it's consistent to the rest of the Wii Fit Series' categories and is better to run in this kind of category than what the SRC leaderboard has to offer (Which isn't moderated by the main community, so it's completely different than the rest of them)
That's why there's a link to a custom ruleset for All Balance Games in the ruleset for the category, which as you can see Cedrik posted above ^^^
