Do they just mess around? Do they know the code very well? It’s always been something that interested me (along with a TAS, but I’m pretty sure that's not going to happen). But I’m not sure how people actually discover new glitches, is there a process or something?

I'm going to do one or another. Want to actually do a "normal run" so people can stop writing whole essays in my comments about how terrible my runs are and constantly mentioning it.

So which one is faster? (No neo door used in run btw)

  1. Bubu snapshot in Lava & Water

Ok it’s not a new shortcut, but it’s used on the BTT. In Lava and Water you can do a bubu snapshot to skip over the ice cream. But you can only do it on controller. But I was just wondering if you could connect BOTH a controller and keyboard to an xbox or PC.

So when you enter Lava and Water you could just switch from your keyboard to controller to do the bubu snapshot, and then of course when you exit you just switch back to your keyboard.

As a side note, I’m assuming you can’t because I haven’t seen the WR do it yet, and it would save a lot of time for what I believe would be something relatively easy to implement in a run. But if that is the case, wouldn’t the BTT be theoretically impossible to do in a run, as you have to do rmlaunch and the bubu snapshot in the same run?

  1. Translate glitching in the dark maze

I’m not too familiar with the translate glitch, but I was wondering if you could skip some floors with the glitch. Whytte told me they could imagine it being used to skip a floor.

It's been like 6 months since I've actually did runs on the game, and i decided to improve it by doing stuff people actually gave me advice on. I've gotten fast fan a couple times, but can never really do it consistently, i just kind of eyeball it. I just want to know some general tips on how you guys do it more consistent. Also any other general easy tips I can implement in runs would be appreciated.

(And yes, I learned how to do neo door, sic slide, and hecklands sic before i actually decided to add this in runs)

I'm trying to improve my sun and i've been told to use a metronome.

Sage tells me to use 254 BPM

Ringo tells me to use 256 BPM

someone else (I forgor who they were) told me to us 250 BPM

I just wanted to know what is the correct BPM to use. Also any additional tips to get a faster sun would be appreciated!

basically i see for some of the categories players using their continued save. So i am just wondering if you could make a new game and collect the needed IC (in this case Portal%).

and if you can, could we be able to use mod zone 2 ? (since create a new game every single time would be annoying)

and if you are wondering why would i even do this

Currently, I am working on some macros (Like a rmlaunch macro, which does rmlaunches pretty fast, and an infinite shift dive that shift dives as fast as possible) I currently do all my macros on Pulovers Macro Creator. I really want to create a TAS for this game. Right now I can do the movements like jumping, diving, spinning, etc. but the BIGGEST problem is the camera. Usually what I do with my macros is that i record my movements and Pulover puts it in the program. Except, moving the camera comes out weird. For example, if i recorded myself moving the camera 180 degrees, it would come out only turning the camera like 5 or 10 degrees (this isn’t the exact measurements, it’s more just like an example) . If somebody could help me with this it would be wonderful. Although, i have one theory that might work but only with a modzone. The modzone camera doesn’t really move smoothly, if you don’t know what i am talking about basically if you try to move your camera a tiny bit, it usually moves by intervals by 1 degree (or something like that) so, if i could figure out how much i need to turn my mouse, to turn the camera by 1 interval, i could probably make a TAS for this game.

Although, there is another option, but probably requires TONS of coding and work. Basically someone could use EmK’s slow motion mod, probably find a way to go foward and backwards a frame, and use savestates, and the end, it would make Tool Assisted Speedruns a lot easier to make. But of course i could imagine it would be awful to code

If anybody could help that would be awesome!

the any% run ends after he goes through rainbow triangle and goes up the ladder, but now, the rainbow traingle continues the obby, thus making hte any% run impossible to beat

There is no updated guides for running NMG, i have no idea what glitches to take or not to take, i also don’t know how to do a lot of them, you basically just have to eyeball it at other runs and just try it yourself, this makes it incredibly hard to improve with no clear guide

I can get the part where snapshot is in the maze, but i can't figure out how to respawn. here is a video of my failed attempts, please help me :(

using the manhunt game, it just links your IC. so the timer could end once both players beat the sun, or when they get 32 IC. but probably when it has the text for both players that says "(insert name here) has completed the game!"

I was wondering if you did the same exact movements, but right before you climb up the wall, you do a spin one frame (or just right before you climb the wall) before you reach the wall. [I think this might be faster because whenever i spin before a wall beebo always runs faster up but i may be wrong whether the spin would slow you down]

I can't get SIC to work. all it does is stop at the wall, also, it never works when i go in snapshot like other people doing it. Idk what to do here is a video of my failed attempts
