Ok? So if they remove the run and make him use a steam version of the game he’s just gonna get the WR again by just a matter of time. There’s no point anymore he got the WR the mods looked over the run for 3 days to make sure he didn’t cheat and everything seems like they check out.
Well how i view it is what if a person submitted a real run that was a WR but the mods rejected the run just because they cheated in the past, i don't think that's really fair because then the person who has the current WR doesn't actually have it because there is a time that is actually faster then theirs. So you submitting a cheated run doesn't mean you will get banned it just affects the trust the community has on you now and reputation you now have. The moderators job is to accepted runs that are real and reject runs that are fake not to reject runs just because the user cheated in the past.
Runs take around 2 days to verify most of the time even when the user doesn’t have history of cheating in the past, but the fact that flying cheated 2 times and now claims to have the WR don’t be surprised if it takes a bit to verify. Everyone just needs to chill out and wait for the mods to make sure everything is all good until they verify the run.
Yes there are strats that can be used to speed the game up. First off choosing the correct dialogue option can make the game faster and save up a ton of time if you choose the best dialogue option. Second there are also segments of the game where you have to solve a puzzle, like parts where you actually walk around and do something, so if you know where you are going and how to complete the puzzle then that also saves time, instead of walking around doing things that doesn’t help you advance to the next part of the game. But is there big skips that could save a lot of time? Well i don’t know that really hasn’t been discovered yet. You expect a game like this to not be a game you could speedrun but yes it can be done.
Thanks, Looks like for some reason the time didn’t change when I retimed it, just fixed it.
Since time in the tutorial world is getting kinda tight i'm going to start wanting runs to be timed in milliseconds so there will not be a lot of tied runs in the future. I should have timed runs in milliseconds to begin with but sense when a lot of runs where being submitted i was out of town so i didn't have the correct resources to properly time it that way. So hopefully doing this will make it a little more competitive and let there not be a ton of tied runs :)
Because time starts when the level name appears on the screen for example "0 -1" and time ends when "level complete" appears. That's why the runs where retimed.
Just get the steam version of the game and downgrade it. You can find the downgrader by going into the resources tab and find the Gta San Andreas steam downgrader. It will probably be 10 times more efficient then the physical version of the game. Hope this helps :)
I mean i do have chapter 1 recorded for Emily is away too so you could put it up. I actually tried to put it up but I forgot you had the series already set up lmfao. But I am currently working on strats for the game but it may take a while.

Yes I do believe runs will definitely need a video, but I agree what ROMaster2 is saying about this situation. When the catogories get set up and are ready, for the first few dozen runs submitted definitely need a video, but when this board starts getting more popular and people start submitting runs that are like #100 on the leaderboard or what ever the case may be I don’t see any issues with that run being accepted. But I do enjoy everyone’s opinions on this and seeing what people have to say!
