I have finished adjusting categories and frame counting all Goal runs! We've got now an absolutely insane one in a million WR tie in Goal - Beginner, Default LOL I've used this btw https://somewes.com/frame-count/
Think I'll separate categories by default and custom stadiums and additionally retime all Goal runs so it shows miliseconds. Next week. Ok?
Ok, so what do we do with Goals categories? As you can see we didn't think of players changing stadium to a smaller one when making rules XD Do we leave it as it is? Separate categories with stadium variables? Adjust rules to only allow the default stadium? Change timing method?
I've calculated in-game times of all runs we've had so far 👍 I'm going to add to rules something like "feel free to either calculate IGT yourself or leave it blank for moderators".
No need to program it. Just add up two final times that show up in results after races.
Why don't we add IGT to leaderboards? We already require runners to show race results after finishing so it'd be easy to calculate total IGT by adding both times to each other. Maybe even make it the main timing method?
Yesterday I've encountered a glitch (or two of them because I don't know if they're connected to each other) where game was not detecting cuts and wasn't giving me warnings or DQ. Tried replicating it for 2 hours with no success and gave up. Here is the VOD of the run that it happened on: The other glitch is being able to skip grid animation that pops up after entering any race. I was able to get it consistently until I quit the game. Today couldn't get it to work either. Since I gave up I'm posting it here because those seem very useful for speedruns. Feel free to figure them out yourself :)
