Why isn't it on by default? What scenario would you want different platforms to not obsolete each other? If the games are different depending on platform then shouldn't they be different categories entirely?
Ahh see that's the weird thing - the games are exactly the same on different platforms just with the exception of performance differences. Maybe I should hit up the moderators and ask?
If you submit runs on different platforms on a board, it will show the top run for each platform. For example if I were to submit a PS4, Xbox One, and PC run of a game in the Any% category, I would be shown on the Any% board 3 different times.
Is it rude / frowned upon to do this? Should I delete my previous runs so it doesn't happen? Or do people generally not care?
I want to calculate Load-Removed-Time for a run which has been uploaded to YT. The loading screens are often only 1 or 2 seconds, which makes it almost required to start counting milliseconds.
Is there any way to count milliseconds on YT? For a while I was counting individual frames but that is extremely tedious and inconsistent, for example if the source is 30fps but was rendered in 60fps.

Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game have paid DLC with characters that can be used in both campaigns. Some of the characters are insanely powerful and you don't have to unlock them any other way.

If a game has premade automatic splits then they'll be listed in the resourced tab. But most don't, and you'll have to press your keybinds manually.
It depends on how bad your PC is. You generally don't need a very good PC to record gameplay from a capture card but everyone has different definitions of "good."

That's entirely dependent on the game's moderators to decide. Some games like Portal allow it and it has become a regular thing, while others disallow it or haven't even thought about it. Make a post in the game's forum or ask in the Discord.
Many parts of the site categorize things as "recent" and "total"
What is considered recent? Within a certain time period? A long string of activity?
I've noticed they fluctuate depending on the page. A game's preview may say there are 0 active runners, but clicking on it will say there are 2, for example.
The rules say that level runs don't allow NG+, but how is that viable? Let's say I want to run Starscream's level but mess up. Do I have to run through the entirety of the prior levels in a new game save just to get back to it? And if so then what about savestates, are those allowed?
Most big games I've checked out have emulators completely banned with no exceptions. Sometimes even for consoles that are 6th generation and younger. It doesn't make sense to me to block out a huge group of people.
Is there a fully conclusive reason as to why? I guess cheating is technically easier but you could cheat on real hardware as well with basic CFW.

I think making them separate games would be overall beneficial. It would give space for level-specific categories and clean it up a lot. Besides there's plenty of games listed with only a run or two.
Also I'd personally be a lot more inclined to run the game with individual level categories.
