Great job! It is clear that you have both studied and practiced this run 😄 You have great control over the airplane.
I hope you don't mind me posting a bit of advice, for your next run 😊:
- In "night blitz", I recommend getting the 10-star upgrade under the bed, and the testicoil dropped by the first wave of bombers.
- In "car crash", you can return to base as soon as you pick up the plans (jet) and kit (AA vehicle next to base). You don't have to do anything else, even though the game kinda tells you otherwise.
- In "showdown", I recommend destroying the zeppelin before destroying the two bases with kit and plans. The zeppelin takes a while to go down, and jets can spawn while it is burning up, so you may as well do the other stuff in the meantime.
Best of luck for your next run! I am so happy to see this game getting some love ♥
Sure, here is the benchmark results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/49468549
That is a pretty common thing actually 😊 When you clip through the ground, the game will spawn you there for some odd reason.
It may be useful for the full ending category, if you ever have to go to Esperanza and can't fast travel there. I have seen a lot of instances of this bug, but I don't know how to easily reproduce it. I'm sure there is a way though.
I'm pretty sure you just press 'edit splits' in LiveSplit, and select Far Cry as game. Then it should say "Load time removing and auto splitting by Chickenb0h", and you just press 'Activate'. 😊
Then Livesplit should automatically pause the timer during loads, and split when the next level starts.
Hey there, sorry about the late reply. I need to fix my notification settings clearly...
If you open Livesplit, right click the window and click 'Settings', there is a box called 'Global Hotkeys'. This makes it so that your start/split hotkey works even when in a full screen game. That should help.
Mr_Mary has also made a guide on how to run the game in windowed mode. Simply download and install nGlide, and press 'Alt+Enter' after opening the game, in order to run it in windowed. However, I recommend using a keyboard key to start and stop your timer :)
Hey mate, I appreciate the interest. It would definitely be best to have two mods, so that I don't have to verify my own runs. However, I would like for you to first upload a run I can verify, so that I at least know that you understand the run and how the game works.
Hey mate,
I have reuploaded it to the resources page. No clue how it disappeared. Enjoy!
