The rules specifically state that the run ends when the "You have won" text appears, but in newer among us versions that does not show up. Does that mean I am required to downgrade in order to submit runs?

The vents stip your kill cooldown, so at best you should stay in the vents for less than a second or two. Any longer could cost you a PB.
