Are we going to treat this like how NorthStar or Icepick is to TF2, or are we going to allow runs made with it? On the plus side, it makes the game more accessible since it’s no longer officially for sale, even if it is pirated. However, a major concern is that we can't verify whether the files have been modified — though, to be fair, modding is still possible even on original clients. There are likely both significant benefits and drawbacks to allowing it.
It’ll probably be difficult to tell if someone is using r1delta unless they show the menu screen before the run, since r1delta has a different menu from the original TF1. That would mean requiring players to show the menu before each run for verification if we decided not the accept r1delta.
T1 Menu:
I don't think r1delta has this menu. (I don't know if this is true because I don't have it installed)
r1delta Menu:
I'm curious to hear your guys thoughts on this. We should probably make a decision and set a rule soon, before someone submits a run using r1delta and we end up having to decided right then.
I wondering if we should have a rule for 100% and pilot tutorials where you have to use atlas chassis for it (for future runs)? This is mostly for any future newcomers who want to run the tutorial. I suggest this mostly because it is becoming harder and harder to find online matches. Because it is harder to find online matches, it is harder for newcomers to get to level 15 to unlock the stryder chasis. This is just a mere suggestion and wondering what other peoples idea on this topic. If no, then I'm going to redo my runs with the stryder chasis.
Also should we have a rule to ban macros like in titanfall 2. I routed in crouch wallkicks in my runs, which can be abused by marcos. This is mostly a precautionary measure to prevent future problems or confusions. This is also just a suggestion, do what you will with it.
