This run is performed on VBA (Visual Boy Advance), which is emulates GB incorrectly (it works faster) and banned on every GB leaderboard because it gives unfair advantage.

NES category is essentially called "Nintendo Nintendo Entertainment System". Can moderator pls change it to just "NES"?

Ever since I did my run 2 years ago I noticed that some runs were timed inaccurately. So, I finally decided to properly framecount all of them.

Time starts when starting the game from the event list (on the last frame that the event list is fully visible).

Time ends when one full loop is completed (on the first frame that shows the first selected event).

Can someone please tell me why there is nothing in the rules section, considering the fact that this leaderboard exists for 8 years and has 7 moderators?

In GB version loop ends after you save the girl.

In JP ver. girl gets kidnapped after 1-3 and you save her at 1-4, but in US ver. kidnapping is after 1-5 and save is at 1-6.

Since everyone here played on US ver. and stopped after "elevator descends to the bottom of Level 4" that means that not a single person on this leaderboard completed a proper 1-loop run.

Please add GB in a platform section, since it's not a GBA game.

It would be nice to know start and end frames, because no matter how you time it GB run is not 58 seconds.

So, I checked first 8 runs on leaderboard.

First thing that I noticed is that time based not on frames, but timer that they put on screen.

Second thing, frame counter and timer, that guy on 5th place have, skipped like 100 frames at the end of his run, for some magical reason. And his actual time is 11 or 12 seconds.

And finally, 6th and 1st places started their timers when "Player 1 is on blacks" appeared. And everyone else started after choosing "One Player". So, based on avidemux and starting time 1 frame before black screen. 1st place has 10.000 and 6th has 11.100.

Can someone please fix that?

(also, 2nd place used save state, so he could eliminate RNG and always start with black, but I guess it's not that important)
