I am requesting moderator on Resident Evil : Madman (Demo). There is only one moderator named "ntzz" with no contact info and it shows the last time he was online was 2 months ago. A group of runners and I just started running the game and I also created an autosplitter for it, but we can't submit runs due to a lack of moderator activity. Thank you!
No thanks, we tried to be mods once and everyone hated us. I'll pass, but thanks for the kind words.
Blame me. I was the one who created the boards as they are now when I was mod, with the two variables, so that PC and Console would be separate.
Once upon a time, there were like 3-5 mods on this board and all of them did their job. It was crazy.
@xAnd3rson19x It will work with any console that you can capture with a capture card. It uses a screen capture to see when to pause, split, etc. It will work with both WSplit and LiveSplit.
Nice dude!
Here's the one I have been working on. Got most of the info from the Wikia then added my own notes while playing. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w1TihCvoH7f_0UzCG4xngvRy-EzOlQZOW_XGzZBBoHA/edit?usp=sharing
See that's weird because I unlocked the Flash Point one before starting Desperate Dudes (at least I thought I did). The only Coney Mission that spawned after I beat Come Out To Play was the steel toe one. And Kromer said that Armies of the Night didn't count toward 100%, so we have conflicting points here. I'm still playing on my fresh and new Hardcore Soldier file so I can see where everything happens and is counted. But the point about being non-linear is gona make this a pain in the butt for the mods to sort through and watch videos for completion, cheating, and such. >:(
While I've been playing on HCS I have been writing things down on a Google Sheet (like score totals to get, what the bonuses are to get, etc). I plan on playing again on Sucker to get 100% and I will write down which Coney Missions are unlocked after each level and such. You guys can do this as well to make sure we are all on the same page.
Ok guys, we have a conundrum.
So when I was talking to Dapgan about the rules for 100%, we both agreed that we were going to make the rules so that you had to have everything else completed before starting the movie gauntlet (Chapters 14-18). That way, everyone could stop their timer at the same spot that we do on Any% (once we kill Luther). We would do something similar to Luigi's Mansion 100%, where they stop the timer on the boss battle, but then have to make sure their money is enough for 100%. They show all the info at the end of the run to show it is indeed 100%. We would do the same, where we kill Luther, stop the timer, wait for credits, then go look at the tv for the 100% confirmation, and make it required that every run shows the tv on the video. However, it looks like there are Coney Missions that are only unlocked once you beat the game (Luther).
So, what do you think we should do? I was playing last night and the Coney Mission for the steel toed boots was the one that showed up after the credits and I got back to the Hangout (at least I think it was that mission).
I have taken a page from the Jet Set Radio Future community and added the option for runners to use installed versions of the game! For example, if you have a modded Xbox and would like to install your game to the hard drive to save your disc from being scratched up and also have faster loads, you are allowed to do so. Don't worry if you don't have the ability to do so, as the disc and installed versions will be separate category options. You won't have to compete with installed if you only have a disc! This goes for any of the other consoles as well. Dapgan and I will be testing the loads on Xbox and will make a video showcasing the differences.
When posting your runs you will be required to choose either "Disc" or "Digital". For users of the PS3 or PS4 version (where the game is a digital version and not disc) you should choose the "Digital" variable.
If anyone wants to know how to mod your Xbox to save your discs, check out this video:
¤Note - you don't have to erase your hard drive to install this softmod (I kept all my games saves on my Xbox and it worked just fine!). I used a SanDisk cruzer micro 4GB (SDCZ6-4096RB) usb drive to mod mine.
You will also need to buy a bigger hard drive for you Xbox in order to install The Warriors to it. The native 8GB hard drive is not big enough to fit the game once you soft mod your console. Here is the hard drive that I installed for my friends Enigma, Dapgan, and myself: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VRZ7PA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You will also need one of these splitters to perform the install / transfer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PI9AAC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And here is the tutorial I watched when I upgraded / transferred our hard drives:
Thanks guys and have fun running! If you have any questions let me know! I have done this a few times now and can help you guys both softmod or transfer to the bigger hard drives, just ask!
100% was something we were going to add eventually, but wanted to look into the game more and make sure we have clear defined rules for it. For the rest of it, we'll talk about it. This game isn't popular, so until a demand for certain categories was made vocal, we were just gona keep it nice and simple with Any%.
As for combining categories, loads are different on all consoles, especially with emulators and modded consoles (which we allow). And difficulties will not be limited to just Easy as you wanted. We want all options to be available, not just some. Having said that, making all the categories you listed above will most likely be added, but shaving off difficulties or other options won't happen. We want runners to be able to run the game how they want with little to no limitations, not the other way around.
Can you change mine to: AustinAuddyDavenport
That should be 20 characters, but if for some reason that doesn't work, please use: AustinDavenport
Thank you!
I'm still playing my first round, so I don't know all the details of what the game has in it or has to offer, but maybe a Legendary Hero%. It'd be like Any% except you have to get the Master Sword, the Hylian Shield, and anything else that is a traditional item the the hero of legend would have (once again, I don't know if there are more items as I haven't beat the game yet, sorry).
I actually forgot about those haha. Yeah I'll add em.
I just un-banned emulators. All emulators will be available for use now, just put in your run which one you used. I feel we should allow all console types. We are already accepting modded Xbox times, so why not emulators? The more ways to play the better imo :)
