Super easy pro and hyper. I'm cool with that. The ppl who sumbited runs on normal are not around and didn't care that they were under super easy If rhey cared they who run super easy and improve their times but they didn't. Pro is kool it's a whole new challenge. Normal is pointless. And makes wayyyy a many available medals imo. 3 game modes in super easy pro and hyper is more then enough. Super easy will always be the most popular and I hope more ppl join the ranks this year.
After giving it more thought I def do not think there should be a normal mode. Adding pro makes 3 super easy aka standard sure pro I guess and hyper. 4 is way to many. I'd say get rid of normal mode. What's the point really. It's not much different then super easy. Yes it's harder sure. But speed running is ment to be about doing things as fast as possible. And that's why we have super easy and hyper. For a challenge sure pro mode is ok . But normal has got to go. I def do not like seeing the leaderbored being thinned out like it is.
I think normal mode should be removed for sure. Pro mode is interesting but over all keeping it the way it is offers way way too many golds for one game in my opinion. I'd love to see gear gotcha removed. It's a garbage next to know has ran it and it's a glitch anyhow. But that's me. Normal mode is definitely unnecessary. Again pro mode is kinda cool tho. I feel like this thinned the leaderbored when I wanna see it grow. Sometimes less is more.
So it has come to my realization after several runs of testing and comparing multiple runners times that original mode's time structure should be based on the individual times for the 7 races to create an overall time. Not only will this allow a person to use multiple cars the way the game intends you to play. It also eliminates severe RNG that impairs otherwise great runs. As an example you can run a stage faster than someone else yet be slower overall because your opponent took longer to finish race. This is completely unnecessary and very unfair as you the runner shouldnt have to deal with this. Leaving it the way it is creates so much luck to determine the over all time instead of what should be pure skill. A simple fix is to change the rules to tally up The Times of all 7 races for grand total time. Here are 4 over all times through their 7 stages of 4 different runners Alphanerd 7:28"90 QR Jfred99 7:29"05 QR Btrim 7:33"80 SB Master System Marceau 7:51"55
Timing the runs this way is just completely more sensible and logical and allows a runner to maken skill whats required to get a fast time opposed to an extreme amount of luck with the RNG.
Also I'd like to request 2 categories for original mode one where the runner has to select only 1 car and use just that car for all 7 races. In another original mode category where the runner can use any car it wants throughout the 7 races as you unlocked them from beating rival cars and each race. As using different cars will definitely result in the fastest overall time in original mode.
Also this makes running orginal mode wayyyy more fun.

I was doing some testing today comparing the Japanese and American version and I don't have a lot to go on at the moment but it does seem as if the Japanese version is a bit easier but regardless great run.
This run screams TAS! Comments turned off on youtube only video sumbited to speed runs and youtube and a full 2.6 sec faster then my run. Either you got very lucky or this is TAS

Honestly the 3 men the game gives should be the amount you get. No extras. And no extra life. Imo to keep it fair with that runs using those standard settings
