Jump down to the pipe again to keep all 101 Punies through the room transition Head left using Flurrie to stun the Pider Switch to Koops and use him to reveal the hidden block under Damage Dodge P (alternatively, you can hammer the hidden block from the platform) Use the block to jump across to the left, skipping the second Pider Switch back to Flurrie and use her in the 100 Jabbi squad fight

Either Goombella buffer into the right loading zone in the room after the Jabbi fight, or walk against the bottom wall, moving right slowly to bypass the loading zone. Move right until you can hear a collision noise when moving against the north wall in Paper Mode. Switch from up to up-left and release R to clip onto the seam. Maneuver around to the left side of the Puni Orb pedestal and drop down to the pipe on the stump.

Jump to the pipe in the next room with all 101 Punies

Either use Koops to hit the blue switch in water room, or jump across the platforms in the lower room to keep the Punies with you as you enter the pipe to the basement. If you use Koops, return and take the Punies over the lily pads.

Place the Puni Orb in the pedestal leading to the lowest room in the Tree Place the Puni Orb in the center pedestal to trigger the first escape Head up the right pipe (leave the Punies here)

During the first escape, go right at the narrow path room and get the Super Boots Break the floor panel in the room adjacent to the Super Boots chest and use Koops to get Charge Return to the basement room where you triggered the first escape (via the red door) to trigger the second escape Head up the right pipe (leave the Punies here)

You can use Paper Mode against the north wall to dodge the first set of Bill Blasters. The same strat works against the south wall for the second set of Bill Blasters.

Open the chest for Boat Mode

Return to the room with the floodgate and use the Gate Handle. On the way back, you can take damage from the Bullet Bills to try to get close to peril. The Bullet Bills do 4 HP damage unguarded.

Climb up and around to the boat panel at the top of the waterfall and sail down through the open floodgate Head right to the large room with the Toads Dock at the boat panel and hit both background switches Go one room right after freeing the Toads If you're not in peril, fall in the water to take damage Enter the Black Skull and confront Cortez

Go back to Rogueport Sewers

[section=X-Naut Fortress] Head west, and then up to the underground town Do Teleporter Room Early and enter the teleporter to X-Naut Fortress

Exit the teleporter room and go left to get the first Card Key Head back right and read the red note to advance the game sequence to Chapter 7 Enter Grodus' office and get the Card Key Exit and use the Z-Yuz to set up a Yoshi Teleport to Sublevel 3 (guard his attack to get put at 7 HP) Go to the left end of the hall and get the Card Key at the end of the tile room

Go right and use the 3 Card Keys Use Bobbery to hit the switch on the right, and then use Vivian to go under the wall

Badge Menu ● Equip Power Bounce

Either travel through the background or use Yoshi to clip to the other side of the room and then Spring Jump to the moving platforms Hover with Yoshi to get the final Card Key Hover to the save block, and then to the recovery block Spring Jump back up to the moving platforms Use the Card Key to enter the final room

Magnus von Grapple 2.0 The following strategy assumes that Mario has 7 HP. If he doesn't, you'll need to make an adjustment. (Magnus's dive attack does 6 HP damage unguarded. From 10 HP, a reasonable backup would be to guard & defend one turn, and then defend the next. Jump around the Shadow Sirens fight trigger (this is required) and head right Uncover the staircase using Flurrie Use Yoshi to cross the gap at the top of the stairs Use Koops to hit the red switch Exit the room on the right

Use Yoshi to hover behind the green block Hit the purple switch, use Yoshi to hover across the gap to reach the door Spring Jump to the first pole Either Spring Jump to the second pole or use Yoshi to cross the gap

(Optionally, you can do an extended Yoshi Hover to the right here and land on the ground to the next area. This saves around 30 seconds optimally.)

Use Bobbery to hit the switch at the top of the stairs to reveal a platform You can cross the stationary wooden wheel by jumping on top of it in Paper Mode

Open the Badge menu ● Equip All or Nothing ● Switch to Flurrie

Blow away the block disguise with Flurrie Destroy the block with the Ultra Hammer and Spin Jump through the floor (switch to Yoshi) Navigate the narrow path room

Use the Plane Panel to reach the loading zone in the center of the next room Hit the red switch and use Yoshi to reach the Palace Key Exit and fall down to the bottom of the large room (you can get a Life Shroom by hovering off to the right) Use the spring to get back to the Plane Panel Use the Plane Panel to reach the locked door Enter the throne room

Shadow Queen ● Mario: Power Bounce x7 (getting capped at 6 gives the same result) ● Yoshi: Swap to Bobbery ● Shadow Queen attacks ● Mario: Power Bounce x4 (or x6 if not in danger) ● Bobbery: Bomb Squad ● Phase 2 starts ● Mario: Failed Jump on Dead Hand ● Bobbery: Boo's Sheet on Mario ● Shadow Queen attacks ● Bomb Squad detonates

Crystal Star Cutscene

Shadow Queen ● Mario: Charge ● Bobbery: Double Dip -> Boo's Sheet on Mario + Nothing ● Shadow Queen attacks (swap partner to front) ● Bobbery: Double Dip -> Power Punch on Mario + Point Swap on Mario ● Mario: Power Bounce x7 (getting capped at 6 gives the same result) ● Shadow Queen attacks (if a Dead Hand steals HP from partner, you'll need to do an extra bounce; swap Mario to front) ● Mario: Power Bounce x7 (getting capped at 6 gives the same result)
