Astral Academy Gardens - Fight Skip

Well, it seems I've finally figured this one out thanks to analyzing [@ILikeBaguette25's run](https://www.speedrun.com/trine5/runs/yo0ojo5y) and a bit of practice.

Right after the first grand checkpoint when you meet Sunny and Goderic for the first time for your "reward", there's a small puzzle to solve followed by three clockwork knights to kill. If you can get into the inner circle (see diagram below) before the screen fades, the game will consider you to be past the trigger which normally initiates the aforementioned sequence, and place you in the position immediately after the fight, skipping the entire sequence.

It's not too difficult to hit once you get the hang of it — it just requires charging right before the trigger and then immediately jumping to reach the inner circle, or even slightly past it. The difficulty lies in the fact you only have about a second or less during the fade-out before you can no longer move. The marks are *very* approximate, but should get you close enough. Loading the checkpoint right after the fight is a good place to practice where best to charge and jump in order to see where you land.

If done successfully, it easily saves around 30 seconds. Good luck!

Brackenridge Path - Last Puzzle Skip

By sheer luck, I managed to stumble across this puzzle skip while messing around. I think it could potentially save around 10-15 seconds, depending how fast the puzzle can be solved.

At the last puzzle (the one before the guarded gate at the end), it's possible, at least on version 1.02, to break the rope holding the door from the opposite side. As Zoya (obviously), stand on the box near the door, angle a shot downwards such that it'll bank up and hit a little under where the rope is connected, around the second plank from the bottom. It should break it if hit at the right position and angle — perhaps because the rope object is clipping a little too far into the door? Who knows!

I'm no speedrunner, and not very good in general, but I was able to consistently hit it about a half-dozen times after figuring out just what the hell I did.

Dungeons and Sewer Rats - Zoya's Elemental Arrows side chapter puzzle skip

In the Dungeons and Sewer Rats level during Zoya's skill mission in which she unlocks elemental arrows, there's a small puzzle involving a springy door you have to get past. It's a fairly easy puzzle, but due to an oversight in the clipping, you can clip through the wall just over the door by pulling it slightly, then jumping to grab its ledge, and moving forward causing you to clip through the wall. It saves maybe 5-10 seconds, depending. Not a huge skip, but it all adds up!

The Bastion of Hope - Flying Exploit

There's a small segment in The Bastion of Hope where you can grab one of the spiked balls being generated in the factory, place a plank on top of it at an angle, and then levitate the ball while riding the plank as Amadeus, effectively skipping the entire section until you get to a guarded gate with Clockwork Knights which prevents you from moving further. I'm not sure exactly how much time this saves, but it's a pretty decent amount if done right.

What worked for me is when beginning to levitate upwards, counting out approximately 4 seconds before moving right so as to not hit or get stuck on any of the objects in the level, since you won't be able to see yourself for a little bit. It may be possible to move past the gate as well, but I haven't tried it much. Thanks to [Bugaga Foxy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDXAcLrvi1I) for figuring this out.

Wind burst jump glitch - Video tutorial (requires any version before 1.0.3)

The glitch only works on versions of the game prior to 1.0.3 (the one that came out in September 2023). If you want to make it work on PC, you can downpatch the game using DepotDownloader to any version before this one (I personally use the most recent one before 1.0.3). If you have a physical copy on PS4/PS5 you can also delete the game files, disconnect your console from the wifi and re-install the game, it should install the original version if you're offline (I don't know if the same thing is possible on Xbox consoles or not). Unfortunately if you have a digital copy on console I don't think there's any way to downpatch the game.
