Hello, I do not know if this board is still active, but I kind of got into TR13 Speedrun and its so far very exciting to me. I like the glitched run and would like to practice it, I don't know if this game is the best to get into Speedrunning but I like it very much.
I am looking for a good resource on Airwalking, I get to the point where I am "freefalling" in the air, but then I do not know what to do. I am always falling down and do not know how to win height. I just don't know what to do, which place ingame would you guys recommend to practice it? So far I tried it at the wolve cave with not much success.
Maybe you can point me in the right direction, give me some tips or good places to practice it. Regards
Hey, Ballistic has a tutorial on his Twitch page, it's 3 years old so a lot of the skips are outdated but the explanation for skywalking is still good:
It's a bit hard to explain but in general the inputs I do for skywalking is tap back (S) twice until you're stuck in the freefall position, tap right (D) once, then hold up left (WA) and turn the camera slowly to the left. Camera position is just as important as the keyboard inputs.
The Grim skip area is a good place to get a feel for how inputs/camera position influences skywalking movement.
It's one of those glitches that you can know the general idea, but to fully understand how to do it, is that it takes practice and personal experience with it. I know a REALLY good location to get the idea in RotTR, but I'm not sure about TR2013. Don't get discouraged if you are having trouble. take your time and practice it and it'll come in no time.
Can you share the practice location in RotTR? Maybe I can practice it in RotTR and apply it to TR13?
I am making progress, I practiced on the bridge at the radio tower and I can do it fairly consistent there. It's fun. Thank you guys, this community is awesome. Everyone is glad to help so far.
