Stunt Race FX Guide

Stunt Race FX was the first polygon based racing game from Nintendo, released in 1994.

We compete on these modes in the game:\
Speed Trax - Compete for the best times against the CPU in Novice, Expert and Master difficulties, each with 4 tracks and a Bonus stage.\
Stunt Trax - Finish one of 4 obstacle courses, collecting all the stars to increase your time remaining. Getting a Perfect 40 Stars on all 4 obstacle courses unlocks 4 Radio Control courses, where you race in an overhead view to smash 3 other cars on the course.\
Free Trax - Compete for the best times on the game's 12 courses and 3 bonus stages.

The Novice courses:\
Easy Ride - This is the simplest course there is. Learn the timing needed to reduce your speed enough to make the curves on this course.\
Aqua Tunnel - Two thirds of this course is raced in tunnels. It's a relatively easy course to run, but be careful when on the half-tube curve in the beginning.\
Sunset Valley - It's a mountainous course with tunnels and many ups and downs. Watch for falling rocks and be careful not to hit the wild animals crossing the road.\
Night Owl - This long circuit has a multi-level crossing. The most difficult part of this track is the hairpin curve at the end of the slope. Don't take your eyes off the track while driving through this beautiful night scene.

The Expert courses:\
King's Forest - This difficult course in the woods has many combinations of curves. You need to know advaned driving techniques to handle each of the different challenges.\
Sea Breeze - This course on the sea has many curves. Take care in the two half pipe corners. If you fall into the sea, you'll lose!\
White Land - It's easy to slide while driving on the snow. The course is rugged but fairly straight. If you drive at high speed, you just may run into trouble!\
Night Cruise - This course has many 90º corners. Advanced cornering techniques will make a big difference in your time

The Master courses:\
Lake Side - A challenging course to maintain your balance on! Plenty of straights but a few tough corners, and watch out for the rising and falling bridge!\
Big Ravine - A thunderstorm makes this race a challenge in more ways than one. Slippery slopes and difficult hairpin corners will give you a tough time!\
Sky Ramp - Racing in the sky, the clouds become your opponent! Watch your speed on the many difficult corners on this course.\
Harbor City - You're an expert at half pipes by now right? Or will you SPLASH!?

The Stunt Trax Obstacle courses:\
Rock Field - A fairly simple course that shouldn't pose much trouble\
Up 'N Down - Lots of ramps and jumps on this course\
Ice Dance - A challenging course with some awkwardly placed stars\
Blue Lake - The most difficult course, complete with half pipes for your suffering!

The Vehicles:\
4WD - The slowest but strongest vehicle. It's best suited to Stunt Trax, where it can more easily maneuver the obstacles.\
Coupe - Better than the 4WD in speed, but weaker against impact, use this to improve your times once you can get around the courses safely
F-Type - The fastest vehicle yet, and with a nice turning ability, you can set some good times - as long as you're not hitting something
2WD - The fastest but most difficult to handle vehicle. Be careful not to lose balance on slopes and corners, and effectively manage your boost usage to set the best Free Trax times possible! You need to clear Speed Trax Master to use 2WD in Speed Trax.
