Forced Device Lag (For any%)

Being able to force your device into an extremely laggy state allows incredible individual level times. I am going to go over the easiest way to do this effectively. First, you must know that doing this in a glitchless run will get it rejected. When your device is lagging, it can actually become impossible to stand on the thin platforms, without falling through. This can be extremely frustrating while trying to play.

To start off, you'll probably want a screen recorder on your device. Recording your screen alone can sometimes cause lag. I would look around on the app store and find the screen recorder that lags your device the most. This will help a lot. After you've found a bad screen recorder, you'll want to make sure that Power Saving mode is turned on. Now, this final part is the **most** important part. You'll want to go into your settings. Make sure you have developer options enabled. If you do not have this enabled, and are not sure how, look it up. It can be slightly different for each device. Go into developer options, and scroll down until you find show screen updates. Slight epilepsy warning here.. Your screen will start flashing, that is perfectly normal. It will (should) slow down your device SO much. This isn't only useful in Speed Run, but in other games. It allows you to finish hard levels in Color Switch, and get amazing scores in Piano Tiles. Anyway, if you open Speed Run, while recording, and with Power Saving + Show Screen Updates enabled, you should be able to get amazing times. Not sure if this will work on emulator, or devices with really good ram. 

NOTE: While recording, the purple flashes should not show. However, if for whatever reason, your recorder records the flashing too, it is perfectly fine. The run will still be accepted.

Game Mechanics

[section=Glitches]__Jump start glitch__ - By holding a button before you are loaded into the level, you can start moving before the timer starts, giving you close to half a second advantage. This only works when loading into a level, won't work by retrying it. This is hard to pull off at times, but WILL allow teleportation through walls in some cases. Holding the jump button, with either left or right, can cause this glitch to make you jump really high and far
__Lag glitch__ - If you can manage to make your game run in a very low FPS, you can beat levels in incredible times

[section=Settings]There is no advantage to lowering velocity when speedrunning, it should be kept on max
Gravity 1 + Jump 10 allows you to jump 4 blocks
Gravity 5 + Jump 10 allows you to jump 3 blocks
Gravity 5 + Jump 5 allows you to jump 2 blocks
Gravity 10 + Jump 10 allows you to jump 2 blocks and 1 small platform
All settings on 10 is the best for most levels (as said by the developer)

[section=Tricks]__boost__ - You can gain speed by passing on a boost, even in the opposite direction of the arrows. So going back and forth on a boost can save a lot of speed.
__Jump__ - You can jump even if you are in the air. This tip can allow you to access shortcuts.

Speed Run Levels Settings Strategy Guide developed by ChocolateTheGaming

The purpose of this thread is to help speed runners with the "settings" of this game. As you might notice, in the Speed Run game, there is a "Settings" option in which you can control the player's speed, jumping height and gravity. These "settings" makes a huge difference in terms of speed running this game.

In Settings, there are 3 things:
1) Gravity (the less gravity, the higher you fly and the more gravity, you fall)
2) Velocity (basically speed, you need to always put it on 10.)
3) Jump (increases your height and distance on jumping blocks)

Currently, I have found some shortcuts and solution on speed running this game as fast as possible. I have been ranked up high in the World Leaderboard and even ranked 1st on the Podium competing with everyone all over the world.

(Note: Throughout all 40 Levels, we can see that Velocity are kept to Max 10, however, it only matters in Gravity and Jump settings that affects the time in different levels.)
