What happens if the run is delay?
Please explain what you mean by "delay". Have you got an example, perhaps?
Unless you mean if you started your own timer late? In that case, yes, the run may be retimed, if I recall correctly.

delaying on the title screen effects enemy patterns due to the way the game handles "randomness". this won't effect your final time, since timing starts the frame you gain control of mario.
