it might help but you need a setup for fire flower mario and the correct framerule to arrive on so that narrows it down to only a handful of framerules
for TAS maybe and idk if is alredy done but seems extremely insane to get in a warpless run so doesnt seems to happend any time soon if the top runners doesnt even do the 8-2 one that have a full setup lol
I doubt it would save time because you have to wait for the bullet bills to come. Maybe time doing each way and see how long each takes?
After timing both your gameplay in the video and a test run that I did (starting from control of Mario to the time finishes being counted down during the level completion fanfare), I got 27.80 both times. Given the pattern you got, this BBG could save a framerule over a normal 7-1, tie a normal 7-1, or lose a framerule over a normal 7-1 (it's hard to tell bc the video ends before the next level screen pops up). If you could smh find a way to make the bill shoot out earlier (ex: playing on a different framerule, manipulating the canon to shoot at a certain time), this could likely save time.
7-1 BBG saves 1 framerule over normal 7-1 and ties FPG framerule if done perfectly. There is a TAS strat that uses the last buzzy beetle to FFPG which saves 1 framerule over BBG/FPG and 2 over normal 7-1 (without l+r), but that is not a viable strat at all since it requires 3 separate wall clips, precisely kicking the buzzy beetle, and a precise jump to the flagpole.
