Dunno if I can do teamspeak coz downloading is a bit finicky for me atm. if there is a vote for either or, I vote skype but, I dunno, whatever people prefer.
I don't mind for either, I was just saying that if people are steaming TeamSpeak offers higher quality voice. But I'd want this to be easy, not a pain for everyone to get setup.
Since the race is starting ina few hours, was it decided where the call would take place yet and whoa re joining? Just curious.
Just made a group with people I have on my friends list, send me a Skype message if you're not in it and I'll add you.
Well even if I dropped out before finishing it, I found it to be an enjoyable race, and hopefully I'll get some more practice on levels such as Marge for the next race I decide to take part in, not entirely sure if I'll take part in next weeks one. Might take a misss and just practice till I'm certain I can run properly.
Contrags to Bill for winning the race Kappa. But thanks for taking part and such everyone who did and sorry for dropping out <3
So it'd be cool to make this a weekly thing. I probably can't make next week, unless I take my PC to Insomnia, so I'm staying out of timing this time OpieOP
I guess keeping a Skype group going probably is a good way to organise this, though. Maybe.
Hey, so, I brought this up on skype, and rather than starting a new forum decided to mention it here but was thinking somewhere down the line another race might be planned? If anyone is interested in it down the line?
I'm game again, if I'm around. Though I'm going out Sunday for lunch, and working Saturday from 4ish. So work out a time between you guys and I'll see if I'm in
No idea on a time or day, because I am free anytime really, was gonna leave it up to people interested. I'm good for almost any time really.
I'll talk to a few people I've seen learning recently too and see if they're interested in a race. There are about 2 or 3 people I know probably would take part in a race (even though they just started learning). Should just be a matter of telling them who we are and when its happening. If I can't actually finish runs yet I can try my best to get more people into running this game instead using this as a reason behind it.
edit: Next week could be a problem. New course starts on the 8th and I don't know what the workload is going to be for the first few months, plus I'm looking for a job which works with the new timetable. Probably going to sit this one out because I don't know what days I have off. edit 2: I'm good to join from Fridays to Mondays, assuming this is still happening on this weekend I'm good to race again once or twice a fortnight, for now at least.
I haven't really touched the game since the last race, the lack of streams being live has kinda put me off, but I might as well try pick it up, however this weekend "would" suit me if it wasn't for me being so bloody tired, but I guess I'd be down next weekend assuming I don't hear back from a job or anything, anyway to that extent I may have to go off and learn a few of the strats. Anyway, post here if you're keen for another one, and if we get enough hype we can work out some times to suit everyone between work and school.
From the looks of it right now, the race should be starting some time on Saturday. (At least from the people who I've been able to ask and get a response from have all came back and said Saturday would be fine.) I'll admit that I've not asked many people yet, mainly because I've neglected to actually add many people on anything but the Skype group nobody checks to ask them on aside from PMs on Twitch, which just get hidden anyway.
All we need to do now is find a time which everyone can be racing at and we should be good. I assume we're using the Skype group call thing again because we already have people in there and but we'll worry about that on the day.
I am good to do anytime, so if people have any preferences, or if it just going to be at the same time as before, either way.
Basically whatever time we can actually get everyone that wants to be in the race there for. Time zones are all over the place for everyone so I can't decide on my own and even then I'm most likely not hosting the call or whatever. My part in this is just to get these races to be a somewhat regular thing because I liked it last time regardless of me quitting at Apu.
Also I honestly don't remember what time the last one was so whoops
I know for me it was 11pm on Saturday, which was like... 1-2pm in the UK? Not sure for everyone else.
I'd certainly be happy with the same time (or even earlier, if we don't get any Ameridoodahs in). Also I'ma run on PS2. I need to reclaim that WR Kappa
If you guys are still okay with that time I don't see any reason in changing it. Just waiting on a response from one or two other people I've asked myself but we already have a fair few people assuming everyone turns up on time.
I'll avoid just forfeiting after screwing something up this time too. PB stinks enough to PB so long as I don't screw up everything which requires any kind of skill.
Yeah we're starting at around 2pm today, give or take whatever time it takes for everyone to be set up and in the call or whatever.
edit: If there does happen to be a last minute time change I'll do my best to make it painfully obvious what time it is, while also trying my best to come up with a time which is still reasonable for everyone. All depends on how many people can't make it to this one and how many people are OK with a different time/day to be racing. Shouldn't happen this week (especially with 20 minutes left before the race) but who knows.
After a lot of consideration on many factors over the past couple of weeks, the mod team have decided that the best course of action is to allow the custom save file to skip the Bart 1, Apu, Bart 2 and Homer 2 cutscenes. This save file is banned in No Mission Warps, with the goal to maintain the sta
