The Speedrun RE4 rules state that Special Costume #2, (where Ashley wears armor), is prohibited but it appears many of the top records used it? Has the rule been dropped and not removed from the website?
Hi Xelow, Thank you for your response. The rules page doesn't explain those details - it just states Special Costume #2 is prohibited, with a period after it. Thank you again for the explanation!
Looks like that part of the rules were copied over from New Game to New Game Plus when the recent rules update was put out. Thank you for bringing this up, I've edited it to reflect the correct rules. Just like Xelow said, special costume 2 is allowed on New Game+ and is not allowed on New Game.
