Getting started

# How to download the game
[Go to the official Plazma Burst website](https://www.plazmaburst2.com/?s=2), click the "Download Plazma Burst 2" dropdown button, and select "Plazma Burst 2 Launcher". This launcher contains PB: FTTP, and the Flash version you'll need for the Auto Splitter to work. You can technically play PB: FTTP through Flashpoint as well, but the Auto Splitter currently doesn't support its different version of Flash, so it's not recommended.

Unzip the download and look in its "data" folder for "flashplayer11_7r700_224_win_sa", which is the only Flash player version the Auto Splitter currently supports.

Open that file, click the "File" button at the top, click "Open...", and select the "plazma_burst_fttp" file using the "Browse..." button.

Press Ctrl+Enter to skip the infinite loading screen.

Start up LiveSplit, and right-click the LiveSplit window to be presented with a lot of options.

Select the downloaded splits file by going to "Open Splits" > "From File..."

Select the downloaded layout file by going to "Open Layout" > "From File..."

Select the downloaded Auto Splitter by going to "Edit Layout", and double-click the "Scriptable Auto Splitter". Click the "Browse..." button to the right of the "Script Path", so it points to your downloaded Auto Splitter file.

# Speedrun strategies

## General notes

Before starting the speedrun, make sure not to change any of the options in the options menu, as stated in the rules.

The strategy to not die in this game is to go for headshots as fast as possible.

Don't spend your money on anything except for armor at the beginning. Once the armor is fully upgraded, upgrade both the shotgun and the helmet.

You can press either Q or G to throw a grenade.

## Levels 1 & 2
Use the electroshock taser. Try to walk through the map as fast as possible. Do the same for level two.

## Level 3
(0:54) Upgrade your armor as much as possible. Don't spend your money on anything else.
Equip your rifle, walk to the window, and then quickly kill the guard that’s holding the shotgun. Use his shotgun for the rest of the run.
(1:03) Slowly make your way to the last “step” of the staircase, throw a grenade pointing at both guards, the grenade should blow both of them and the barrel.
(1:11) By throwing the grenade down to kill the guard, you can prevent him from wasting a few seconds of your time.

## Level 4
(1:18) Make sure to shoot the guard on the left. Once killed, shoot the guy on the right. You can use one of the barrels to boost yourself.
(1:28) Throw a grenade forwards to kill both guards.
Go down. It’s recommended to have at least 80 hp. Kill both guards.
(1:38) A grenade pause strategy is used that skips the rest of the level:
- Point down and leave.
- Once you go all the way down the tunnel, press Q/G. 0.25 seconds after, press P. Wait for the grenade to blow up, and unpause the game. This should boost you to the end of the level.

## Level 5
(1:46) Go for headshots. It’s a very easy level.
(1:50) Once you go through the sliding door, walk a little forward and throw a grenade. This makes it easier to go down.

## Level 6
(2:07) A grenade boost is used to skip the entire level.

## Level 7
(2:20) A grenade boost is also used here to skip the entire level.

## Level 8
(2:28) One of the hardest levels in the game. A setup that isn’t 100% reliable is used:
- Walk to the edge of the platform and make sure to have half of your feet hanging over the ledge.
- Point as much down as possible.
- Press Q/G and then press P as fast as possible. Make sure the grenade is in the exact same position as the gun, since that’s how you know you pressed P quick enough.
- Unpause the game and face left to not wake up the guard, as he can shoot you/the barrel next to you.
- Walk to the end, moonwalking and facing right. Jump over the guard and keep walking to the end level trigger.

## Level 9
(2:47) Jump over the obstacles, get over the stairs, and crouch walk very slowly to the edge of the pad. Once the marine goes all the way up, face down (with the marine's side to the left) for the guard to attempt to shoot the marine, but have him end up boosting you to the end of the level.

## Level 10
(2:58) Go for headshots and keep walking.
If you’re really good at grenade boosting and want to save a few seconds, boost yourself up to the tunnel at the top of the start of the level, and throw a second grenade to boost yourself to the end of the level. (3:14) If you have enough hp (like at least 45 hp), you can use the barrel to boost yourself to the end.

## Level 11
(3:20) Do nothing. (1 minute and 17 second break :D)

## Level 12
(4:37) Start walking and keep shooting left (preferably pointing slightly down).
(4:45) Walk and throw a grenade to the wall. It will kill both falkoks waiting for you. Keep shooting forwards.
(4:53) Throw a grenade down at the right laser. It will kill the rest of the falkoks and will blow up both barrels, making the rest of the level safe. The marine will automatically jump over the gaps between the lasers if you keep walking.

## Level 13
(5:02) Start prefiring at the first falkok. In the middle of the hallway point forwards and throw a grenade. Make sure to keep walking as you throw the grenade, so that the grenade will inherit some of your marine’s velocity.
(5:10) Jump off the platform and land through the window. Make sure to jump around the center of the platform you’re standing on.
(5:13) Another grenade jump boost.

## Level 14
(5:16) Make sure to play safe, as Noir Lime is very, very weak in this level. Start prefiring all the falkoks, and go down.
(5:31) Shoot the falkok and throw a grenade forwards (walking).
(5:34) Take the boost on the right. Face your camera as low as possible, and to the right. Jump over the barrels. Face left and shoot the last falkok. Go through the end level trigger.

## Level 15
(5:44) Kill the falkoks as fast as possible. Press the button on the left, go down, and finish the level.

## Level 16
(6:09) Make sure to buy and upgrade the plasma cannon as much as possible. Make sure to use only the plasma cannon on this level (it's easier to use it on this level). Always go for headshots.
(6:40) Walk through the big gate. Let Noir Lime be flung by the Sword Bot. Grab Noir Lime by holding E, and perform a grenade jump through the Sword Bot.
If you have problems grabbing Noir Lime up the stairs to lead him to the ship, spam the crouch key and walk up the stairs.
