The biggest thing is no lag anywhere at all. I doubt it effects anything, but the music actually seems a little missed up in some spots as well.

But the password screens overall will add a lot of time to the run, and X1 doesn't have much lag to begin with, I don't see why a new category should be made over such a minor (unproven, and potentially not even) potential time save.

The games are fundamentally different enough (including lag and save screens, obviously, but also minor physics idiosyncracies like the behaviour of wall kicks on moving platforms) to warrant a separate category, no matter which version is "faster".
