oh i found out a rly good strat, if you use ur left stick on controller or the keys w,a,s and d for keyboard, and mix it together with ur right stick or mouse, you can move, also, if you go up on ur left stick twice or press w twice, you can go even faster!
When you enter a new world, take a minute to find a village. If you don’t find one, mine between 6-8 wood. Then go to the nearest cave, make a wood pickaxe and mine enough stone to make 1 furnace, stone pickaxe, stone axe, and stone shovel. Then go down the cave until you find a lava pool and mine at least 4 iron. (I normally mine 7 for a bucket, flint and steel, shield, and iron sword). Then mine gravel until you have 1 flint and smelt your iron and build your nether portal. And make sure to find the nearest water source. I hope this helps when you’re speed running and can’t find a village.
