Hey guys I’m thinking of running a smaller category Any% or Any% Peaceful (not glitchless) and let’s say I manage to WR, will I need gameplay audio? Cause in the rules it doesn’t say so, only for sub 2:05 for the glitchless category. My recording software doesn’t pick up gameplay audio if I’m wearing headphones. I’m just asking this in case I submit a run and only after months it may be rejected.
if rules doesnt specify at all, chances are you'll be good, as long as the video is verificable tho maybe you could get a normal recording software that actualy gets it lol idk why would you use a recording software without sound
If youre going to start grinding now you will have enough time to find a better recording tool by the time you are going for wr. Dw about the audio for the first runs, it shouldnt matter, but Id try to find a way to record audio just in case
Yeah all good thanks everyone for the replies, is OBS a good software to try? I've included the audio anyway to be the most safe and I actually did manage to break the record that is currently listed (2:26), I achieved it like 1 hour after this thread was created, you can view it here:
@Benbenq99 I personally use OBS for my speedruns. The video quality isn't amazing but it's okay. Sound quality is great. Also OBS is good cause it has so many options and customizations.
@WitherslayR if your video quality is bad then turn up the bitrate/resolution
