The thing is, speed running can be whatever you want. It can be arbitrary, stupid and also downright fun. There’s no real way to speedrun. It’s all about the community and the runners themselves if they want or don’t want to do certain categories. You can’t put a definition on speedrunninf because it reality it can be whatever you want it to be

minecraft is a good game for speedrunning with multiple different categories to run in. "It takes way too much effort for useless runs." well, you cannot speedrun a game without effort and hard work. "useless runs" if you are talking about the dirt% and the other meme categories then you have to remember that a category has to be verified by a moderator in order to be on sr.com
