There is basically no text throughout the whole run, so where exactly shall japanese text save time over english text? Check the site mugg posted and you can see that just the title screen and the last screen have jap. text and these screens have no impact on the time.

Literally 0 Difference between the 2. The title screen is the only thing different, the stage levels are all in English on JP... for some reason...
