# Few notes before starting

Made by Perigon in 2021, and updated for new strats by Speed.

You will ***not*** be able to learn this route to the most optimal extent by just reading this written guide. This is just intended to give a word description of some skips / strats that you'll get stuck on. **Your method of learning this should be 90% watching world record level runs and trying to imitate those, only looking at this guide when you get stuck**.

# Eggs and Bacon

Right after you pull the lever to start the run, hold your hand next to the pedestal around where the stove dial is. It will help gain maybe half a second, so it isn't necessary. Turn the stove dial up to full. Grab the top left freezer door with your left hand and the bottom right fridge door with your right then grab one egg and a piece of bacon. Throw them both on to the stove and grab the kettle and a cup. Turn the tap all the way and splash the cup under the stream. Place the cup on the counter, put the kettle under the stream, and grab the task. Place the egg and bacon on the plate, ring the bell, and simultaneously place the kettle on the stove and switch to blender.

# Smoothie

While the blender is opening up, drop two fruit in, grab the mug from behind you, and blend + pour it in to the mug. Switch the fridge to the cupboard and switch the blender to sink. Pull the task and place the mug on the plate. Quickly grab a teabag from the cupboard and ring the bell.

# Tea and Crumpets

As soon as you ring the bell, place the teabag in the cup, splash the kettle under water (keep the water running), then put two crumpets on the stove. Put the tea cup on the plate, then splash two cups under the water and place them on the counter. Put the two crumpets on the plate and ring the bell.

# Soup

As soon as you ring the bell, pick the kettle up, switch the stove to pot, and grab a piece of bread. Drop the kettle and bread in the pot as soon as its visible, and place one of the water on the plate. Switch the sink to the sandwich maker and place the soup on the plate as soon as its done. Ring the bell. (If you hear JobBot say "mmm. Just like MomBot used to make!" You did this correctly).

# Sandwich

Grab two fruit and two bread and make a sandwich with them. Place it on the plate with the water cup when it comes. Ring the bell and pull the task. (If you hear JobBot say "I'm trying to cut down on gluten but that looks very sandwich." You did this correctly.)

# Vintage Steak and Wine

Switch the pot to grill, turn it up to full, switch sandwich to blender, and grab wine out of the cupboard. Pour wine into the mug until it is half full and place the wine bottle somewhere safe. Grab the steak and place it on the grill. While the steak is cooking, switch the cupboard to the fridge and grab four cheese out of the fridge. Grab a tomato out and put it in the blender. If you have time, place 1-3 bread under the blender output. When the steak is nearly done, start pouring more wine in to the cup and put the steak on the plate when its done. Ring the bell, blend the tomato and pour it out onto the three bread, pull the task as soon as you're able to.

# Pizza Party, Timmy's Pizza

As quickly as you can, make three pizzas using the cheese and bread with tomato sauce you got out and blended last task. Place the first one on the plate, place the second one on the grill, and when the third one is cooking, grab an apple and another piece of bread. Send out the first piece of bread when you hear JobBot say "toppings." Immediately switch to blender and blend the apple *after* you send out that pizza. Pour it onto the last piece of bread, and send it out with the second slide of pizza and a piece of cheese. You will be immediately able to grab a ticket, so do it ASAP!

# Proposal Sandwich

Immediately grab the last slice of pizza, place it on the plate, and simultaneously switch to microwave. Set up the microwave glitch. Switch to sandwich, make one ring sandwich, and dupe the ring twice by making a "sandwich" and then taking the olive off of it twice. After you've done that, make sure you have one made sandwich placed on the plate with the pizza. Set the two unmade duped rings off to the side (make them into sandwiches later) while simultaneously switching to microwave. Turn on the microwave just before the bot says "could you burn it for me?" And the rest is self explanatory: just instacook the disc, put it into the music player, press the play button, and then send out the ring and pizza.

# Cake skip and Dishes Setup

Phew, you're now out of the hardest part of the run. Switch back to sandwich and make the 2 unmade rings into sandwiches. Place one on the plate, and place another off to the side. Switch to microwave, make a cake, and then send it out with the ring you just placed on the plate. Sometime before the next task, switch the microwave to sink and put two books on the soap dispenser to make sure it's constantly running. Turn the sink on full and wait for the ticket. Pull it as soon as you're able to. (If you hear the dialogue "Okay kids, let's get going" then you successfully did cake skip) and put the third ring on the plate. If a bell appears, you did this correctly.

# Dishes

Just before the bot finishes its dialogue, take the ring off the plate and set it somewhere well out of the way. Grab two plates and put one under the water and soap, and one on top of that one. When the one on top is clean, put it back in the rack and grab a third dish. Lift the bottom second one up so you can put a third dish under that one while the second dish is washing, when the second one is clean, grab the fourth one and repeat the process one more time. Grab the ticket once you're able to.

# Inspection

Switch the sink to blender and blend the biggest and smallest fruit using both of your hands, then blend the medium fruit. Immediately throw something at the sprinkler and rapid fire smash the bugs with the books you used for the soap dispenser in the last task. Pull the ticket once you're able to.

# TV Bot

Hold the blending lever on and place the pill in when he gives it to you. Immediately switch to microwave when its blended and use the microwave glitch to microwave the flavor packet. Take it out when it is done, and go back to the blender. While it's switching, take exactly 2 bites out of it, and pour the protein liquid for a couple seconds, and then eat the last bite. Pull the ticket once you're able to.

# Rare Turbo Ghost Death Nova Pepper

Grab 2 hot sauces out of the cupboard and make sure the stove is on high. Place the pepper on the grill and pour the hot sauces until the first green bar is complete. Wave the pepper in his face until he grabs it. Grab a ticket once you're able to.

# Special

Remember that ring from earlier that you set to the side? Put it back on the plate, and send it out with a piece of bread. Send out two more pieces of bread as the specials, and leave a fourth piece of bread on the plate for later. (DO NOT SEND THIS OUT, JUST PUT IT ON THE PLATE!!!!!) Grab a ticket once you're able to.

# That Bot Is On FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Grab the fire extinguisher. Hold the fire extinguisher blast towards the poster in the back of the room (in the bot's path). Put out the last fires and throw the fire extinguisher away. Grab a ticket once you're able to.

# **Chefbot Ramsay**

Grab 6 meatballs from the refrigerator, and cook them. Once they're done, put them on the plate with the bread from earlier. Then, turn the grill off and put 6 meatballs on the grill. Once all 6 are on there, turn on the grill. After they're all cooked, ring the bell. Get rid of the meatballs on the grill currently, turn off the grill again, and place a piece of bread on it. Instants before you hear "get to cooking!" Turn on the grill fully. Once you hear "that's so overdone it could be a meme" put the bread on the plate and serve it. Timer ends when you ring the bell.

This guide uses the old, outdated one as a base canvas and puts all the new strats in it. Please don't hesitate to join the Discord and ask questions if you get stuck.

**Info**

Throughout the guide I will be telling you to do stuff in the next task before you pull the fax. We're not 100% sure why, but when you complete a task, the games code thinks that you're at the next task. However, if you are doing the next task before you pulled the fax... you absolutely must do the subtasks in order. There is also this thing we refer to as "Skips." When we say "Skips", we mean that the game went to the next task without us pulling the fax. Now that you know how the game works, let's get on with the guide.

One more thing, you will absolutely not be able to put a top time down just by following this guide. Make sure to refer to top-level runners' videos frequently and take into account what they are doing. Okay, let's go.

**Tasks 1-3: Get the Java Flowin' & Wake up Computer**

Orient yourself to your computer. You will see two plugs. Plug them both in. Quickly turn on the PC and then turn on the monitor. Put a mug under the coffee machine and press the button to dispense the coffee. Log into your computer and go to "Email." Drink the coffee, and then press the "delete all" button in the email once it's done scrolling. Do not pull the fax before you delete all emails. If you do, you have about a one second time limit to delete the emails, if you don't delete them within then, you will miss your chance on the skip. Pull the fax. Open up the "Doughnut Box" and eat a Doughnut. If you eat the doughnut quickly, you will get the skip which will start the next task without pulling a fax.

**Task 3: Look Busy!**

Put a disc in the copying machine and start pressing copy. Grab a book from the other side of the cubicle and start stacking the copies on it. You should aim for 6-8 discs, 5 at the bare minimum. Any time before pulling the fax, grab two resumes from the drawer and put them somewhere out of the way. Right when SupervisorBot prompts you to, start repeatedly grabbing his glasses. He will talk a little and give you a promotion. Put the promotion somewhere to the side and don't forget. It is a very easy timesave later. Open the disc slot in your computer. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 4: Fresh Circuits**

**No PSA**

Stack the resumes you picked up from the last task on top of each other, and hold it with your right hand. Once the stamper comes within range, stamp the top bot's resume, tilt your hand to the left to make it fall off, and immediately stamp the next one. If you did this correctly, you won't need a fax to prompt the next task. This is a very hard skip and will require a lot of practice and watching top runners.

**PSA**

Take the resumes you have and walk over to the stamper. Hire the bots and then walk back to your cubicle. This will prompt the next task without pulling a fax. This is an extremely easy skip if you have the playspace to do it.

**Task 5: Cooking the Books**

Load the disc into your computer by grabbing it with your left hand and inserting it with your right hand. Quickly put the Hot Sauce and Staples funds both to 0. Click the "submit" button on the bottom of the application, then immediately eject the disc. Grab the burning book, and hand it to BossBot. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 6: Lunchtime**

Look in your trash can. There will be a bag of chips in there, grab them. A vending machine will come over to your desk. JobBot will hand you a dollar. Put it in the vending machine and press the "B" Button on it. Right after you press the "B" button, eat the chips you got from the trash can. In the next cubicle over, a co-worker will ask you to get him a candy bar. Give him the candy bar you got from the vending machine. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 7: Internet Pics**

This one is pretty self explanatory. A co-worker will tell you to look at the mem- I mean funny pictures. A link will appear on your computer, click on it. Just keep clicking the right arrow to skip through them. As soon a you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 8: Powerdot Presentation**

Open the disc slot in your computer. JobBot will hand you a disc. Load it into your computer the same way you did back at task 5. When it opens, press the green button in the application. Quickly pick a background. When you are actually making the presentation, there will be a tab up top of the application. Click on the tab and three choices will appear. Click the top one, then click the tab again, then press the "next" button in the bottom right corner, then quickly click the bottom grayed out option and press "next." Repeat this whole process until you get to the last slide, where all you have to do is select the top option and press "go" when prompted. If you are confused about this, watch a top-level run. As soon as you are given the clicker, press it. On the slides, there is a timer for how long until you can go to the next slide. You can see it in the bottom right corner of the slides. When the room goes light again, open the "words" program on your computer, and quickly type something up. It doesn't matter what you type up, just do it before the bot from the next task starts talking. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 9: Retirement Party**

Print out your letter after pulling the fax. Hand the bot that letter when you're prompted to give a gift. After she takes it, immediately take it back with your left hand and hold it. Orient yourself back to your computer. Wait until she says the word "appreciate" and then print out the letter. Right when it's done printing out, give the letter you have in your left hand to her. This is a rather easy skip, but it'll probably require you to watch someone doing it before you properly learn it. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 10: Corporate Restructuring**

BossBot will hand you some employee evaluations. Stamp the first two you're given. Switch to the "Pictures" program on your computer. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 11: Gather 'Round the Water Cooler**

A water cooler will come over to your desk. Put your head under the water dispenser, and drink some water. As quickly as you can, redirect your attention to your computer and print out a picture. Immediately hold it up in front of the person standing right next to the water cooler. As soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 12: Shred the Evidence**

Grab the book with the stacked discs on it, and turn on the shredder once it comes within range. Set down the book on top of the cutting part of the shredder. BossBot will hand you a case with books and money in it. Shred the two books before you shred the money. Now, push the book with all the discs on top of it through the top of the shredder and into the cutter. Again, you will need to watch a top runner doing this to know what I'm talking about here. Wait a split second before turning the shredder off, and as soon as you're able to, pull the fax.

**Task 13: Promotion Party**

Take the promotion you were given at the beginning of the run, and optionally copy it. Blow out the candles before the bots finish singing. Then take your one or two promotions and put them in front of where the gift will be. Swing them vertically. This should skip you having to open the gift.

**No PSA**

Pull the lever all the way down. As soon as the taskboard turns green, that's when you stop the timer.

**PSA**

Walk to the space where the lever first appears, and pull the lever all the way down. As soon as the taskboard turns green, that's when you stop the timer.

(2025 UPDATED) Full Comprehensive Guide to Auto Mechanic!

Hello Humans! Welcome to an exciting guide for Auto Mechanic, you can start by scrolling down just a little bit!



Notes: Auto Mechanic is best done with a large playspace, as moving around is very important. 



Tips: You can give receipts early by throwing them to the bot before they come over. You can drop the car as soon as the glass in front of the button begins moving. Make sure to print as many bills as time allows so you have back-ups in case you drop any. 



**Pre-Task 1**



As soon as you load into the world, grab a Maximum Energy Drink and switch to parts. While you’re doing all these future things, shake up that Maximum Energy Drink until it becomes red. This will be your general fluid. Look to the table and throw in 2 objects into the Hood Ornamentifier, close it and clear the table. Then, set your Ultra Maximum energy on the table after you clear it. If the chain isn’t down, you can also grab a headlight and battery and place them on the ground next to you. (Headlight on the left and the battery on the right). 



**Task 1: Tune Up**



The end of pre-task 1 can also be done as the first car pulls in. Once the car pulls in and is lifted, open the hood with your right hand while you hold the Ultra Maximum Energy Drink in your left hand. Once the hood is open, pour the drink into the fluids and replace the battery on the right at the same time. Drop Car once done and print the receipt. Give it to the bot and immediately take it back. If at any point the receipt printer doesn’t go away, print as many receipts as possible and place them atop the Vend-A-Part, which is where you will store receipts until you need them.



**Task 2: The SLZBOT Special**



After the chain is pulled, pour the energy onto the headlight while it's on the ground until it turns red. As the car pulls in, remove the left headlight and switch the Vend-A-Part to Stash. As soon as you can, take the coupon as soon as you can with your right hand while you open the hood with your left. Take everything out of the engine, switch to left, and pour sugar in the gas tank. Once SLZBOT says “for more work” the glass will open, allowing you to drop the car. Take the new receipt from SLZBOT, give it to BossBot, and then give him the receipt on top of the Vend-A-Part. 



**Task 3: Rust Bucket**



Before the bot pulls in, be sure to switch to parts and open the Hood Ornamentifier. Once he is in reach, replace his headlights. And remove the hood ornament but do NOT replace it yet. As soon as you can, paint the car. Once the bot says “The air filter ain’t lookin’ too good” place the new hood ornament and replace the air filter. Drop car and give receipt.



**Task 4: Safety First**



Once the bot comes into view but before the bot pulls in, switch to stash, grab a banana, and switch to decor. As soon as you can, switch to back and then immediately switch to left. You have to be quick. You should be holding the banana in your right hand while you turn the car. As soon as you can, place the banana in the tailpipe. While the car is turning to the left, grab any dangle. Open the door and place the dangle in. Be sure to be aggressive for the fastest time possible. Drop Car and give receipt.



**Task 5: Worst Day Ever**



Before the bot pulls in, switch to tires. As the bot pulls in, pour your energy drink on top of the hood in the middle to cool the engine. Wait until you hear the sizzle. Once you can, replace the front two tires by reaching around the sides from the front. This requires room in your playspace. Once you replace the front two, switch the car to left and then to back immediately after. Place a tire in the back and pull out the tire if you can. Pour the energy into the cup right in front of the bot and it’ll take it as soon as it’s full enough. Replace both tires as soon as you possibly can. Drop Car and give receipt.



**Task 6: On The Lam**



As BanditBot pulls in, switch to licenses and grab a license, then switch to Fluids. Remove the car's license plate but do not replace it just yet. As soon as you can, paint the car and turn it to the left. Fill the car with gas. Once done, switch back to front and replace the license plate. This is required. Drop car and give receipt.



**Task 7: Car Show Showoff**



Once the bot’s car is lifted, spam grab the headlights, license plates, and everything in the hood. This level is very finicky, so you have to practice it. Once the level decides you are done, drop car and give receipt.



**Task 8: The Big Race**



It is recommended to switch to stash for its easy handling. Grab 4 items and hand them on the pegs. You can hang multiple on each. If you do this fast enough, you will skip the dialogue about paints. Take the paint and brush and paint something as fast as you can. Throw the paint palette and brush to SLZBOT. Drop Car.



**Task 9: Gotta Go Fast!**



As soon as you can, replace the front 2 tires as quickly as possible. Switch to back and do the same. Once you’re done, quickly switch to left, get your energy drink, open the gas cap and fill it up. If you are quick enough, you will skip her voice line about filling the tank. Drop Car and Give Receipt.



**Task 10: Flower Power**



Once the car for task 9 begins to leave, switch parts and grab the flower battery, and the solar battery, grab another one of the two so you have 3 total. Set them on the floor as you grab them and switch to decor once you have all 3. Grab a dangle. By now the car should’ve pulled in. With your left hand, switch to right. The dangle should be in your right hand. Replace the dangle and remove the garbage as soon as you can. Switch to front and replace all 3 batteries. Drop Car and Give Receipt. 



**Task 11: Chop Shop**



As soon as you can, pull off the tires, license plate, and headlights. Once you can, open hood and remove everything inside. Once the bot asks about driving the car home, you can drop the car. 



**Task 12: Too Many Miles**



As soon as you can, pull the branches off the front and grab the dangle. Switch the car to left, put the car in reverse and hold the pedal down. Then switch to back as soon as the Human Instruction Board turns green and remove everything from the trunk. Drop Car and Give Receipt. 



**Task 13: Sick New Ride**



Take the hood ornament from the machine, put it on once the car is lifted, at the same time you paint it. Switch to left and put a dangle inside. Then switch to back and put the horn in the tailpipe. Drop Car and Give Receipt. 



**Task 14: Bots On Parade**



As soon as the float is close enough, hang 4 dangles in the floating circles on top. Hang dangles from the sides as well. Paint the float and switch to Left or Right (doesn’t matter) and hang more dangles on the sides and the back. You may have to hang and display 8 items, which is much harder. You’ll have to figure this out before the speedrun. Just go to the mission and play it normally to see. 



**Task 15: Lemon Law**



As soon as physically possible, take the license plate, front tires, and the headlights. Open the hood and take everything out. Drop Car and Give Receipt once the voice line is done. 



**Task 16: Just Married**



Switch to back and hang all required dangles on the rear pegs on the back bumper, and hang a dangle on the back antenna. Switch to left and put a dangle in the car. Switch to the back again and open the trunk. Place a dangle in the trunk. Also break the wine on the car (location doesn’t matter). Put your hand where the dangle is and close the trunk. Spam grab the dangle until the bot says “Wow a Gift!” and let it go. Drop Car and Give Receipt, which will end the run.

Hello, fellow humans! If you want to bill your customer's for as little of your valuable time as possible, this guide is for you!

# Task 1: Tune-Up


Right as you get into the level, you want to grab an energy drink, shake it until it's red, open it, then set it aside for later. This will be your general fluid. Next, switch to Parts, grab a battery, set it on the floor, and grab a headlight and set it on the floor. Put something in the hood ornament maker. Pull the chain, and open up the hood. Pour the energy drink into the fluid container. As you do this, replace the potato with the battery. Drop Car and Give Receipt. Take the receipt back immediately after. *If the receipt printer has stayed out, after the first print, print out as many receipts as you can and place them on the top!

[section=Task 2: The SLZBOT Special]
Switch to stash. Pour the maximum energy on the headlight. Grab the coupon and open the hood at the same time. Once it's open, take out all the parts in the hood of the car. Close the hood and put the headlight back in. Switch to the Left (Back) side, and start pouring sugar in the gas tank. Do it for a couple seconds and then stop. Once able, drop car, give new coupon, and move your hand back and forward rapidly while holding the receipt to give a receipt quickly. Once given, take it back and place it on top. *If the receipt printer is now out,  and you didn't already do this on the last task, print out as many receipts as you can and place them on the top! (If you already did this in the last task this is not necessary)

[section=Task 3: Rust Bucket]
Open the ornament maker and replace the hood ornament, then take out the broken headlights and replace them with new ones. Grab a new air filter and paint the car when it’s ready. Open the hood and replace the air filter. Drop Car and throw the receipt over. *If the receipt printer is now out,  and you didn't already do this on the last task, print out as many receipts as you can and place them on the top! (If you already did this in the last task this is not necessary.)

[section=Task 4: Safety First]
Switch to Stash and grab a banana. Then switch to Decor. Switch to the Back side. You want to place the banana in the exhaust pipe as soon as possible. Switch to the side and put in any air freshener. Drop car and immediately throw a receipt over.

[section=Task 5: Worst Day Ever]
Switch to Tires. Pour the energy drink in the middle of the hood until you hear a sizzle. Congratulations, you’ve just cooled down the engine without opening the hood! Immediately take out the front two tires and replace them. Switch to left (back) and then immediately switch to back. During this switch, replace the left tire, put a spare in the back, and replace the right tire. Then, fill up the cup with energy drink. Make sure you hold the cup next to the customer so she can pick it up immediately. Drop car and give receipt. Move your hand back and forward rapidly while holding the receipt to give the receipt quickly.

[section=Task 6: On The Lam]
Switch to Licenses and grab a license. Then switch to Fluids. Replace the license. Grab a can of gas and paint the car as soon as possible. Switch to the Left (Back) side and fill up the tank for a couple of seconds. Fun Fact - This task is the only one which requires you to be on a certain item category: Fluids, in this case. Then switch to the front and continually grab the license. Drop car and immediately throw a receipt over.

[section=Task 7: Car Show Showoff]
Take a tire, a headlight, and the license plate. Drop Car and Give Receipt.

[section=Task 8: The Big Race]
I’d recommend switching to Stash for its easily handled items. Take 4 items and hang them on the sides. If you’ve done this fast enough you’ll skip right to the dialogue for paints. Grab the palette and brush. Touch the brush part to the palette and then on the canvas. Hand them to SLZBOT. Drop Car.

[section=Task 9: Gotta Go Fast!]
Switch to Tires. Replace all 4 tires. If you’re fast enough, you’ll skip the dialogue telling you to fill the gas tank with energy drink. Speaking of which, fill the gas tank with energy drink! Drop Car and Give Receipt.

[section=Task 10: Flower Power]
For this, have 3 flower batteries ready beforehand. Switch to Decor. Get a flower battery, open the hood, replace a regular battery with the flower battery, then take the other two regular batteries out. Switch to the Right side, put in an air freshener, then take out all of the garbage. Switch to Front and put in the other 2 flower batteries. Drop Car and Give Receipt.

[section=Task 11: Chop Shop]
You only need to take out 8 things, but you can never be too safe. Take out both headlights, the license plate, the front tires (if you can reach them), the 3 pistons, the battery, and the air filter. Switch to the side, take out a back tire and both air fresheners. If you’re running 100%, this is a good time to grab the hidden glove. Drop Car.

[section=Task 12: Too Many Miles]
Take out all the branches and the nest. If you can, grab the air freshener before it starts swinging. Switch to the Left, pull the handle to R, and push the gas pedal down. Switch to the back as soon as the display turns green. Take out the stuff in the trunk. Drop Car and Give Receipt.

[section=Task 13: Sick New Ride]
Make an ornament. Paint the car as soon as you can. Switch to the side and hang something inside. Wait for the game to acknowledge, either with “Solid choice” or “I got this custom piece of hardware of the internet”. Switch to Back and place the horn in the exhaust. This task is really hard. If your task is to hang 8 items and display 8 items, do that as quickly as possible. If your task is to hand and display only 4 items, do the same but attempt to do it quickly enough to get a task skip. Paint the float. Drop the float.

[section=Task 15: Lemon Law]
This is basically a funnier Chop Shop, so the same things apply. Get the headlights, front 2 tires, license, pistons, battery, and air filter. Drop car and throw a receipt over.

[section=Task 16: Just Married]
Switch to back and hang items on the bottom areas - which will be either 2 or 4 depending on what headset you're playing on. Then hang something on the antenna, switch to the side, and hang something in the car. Next, you have to break the bottle of grape juice. I have not found a consistent way to do this. Put something in the trunk (which you can repeatedly grab if your not feeling trustworthy). Drop car and give receipt. Move your hand back and forward rapidly while holding the receipt to give the receipt quickly.

[section=Time-Saving Tips]

- When taking out/replacing tires, you can do it from the Front or Back side if you have the room.
- If you accidentally drop the receipt, you can always press the print button again.
- You can physically jump upwards and start pulling the chain to save a very small amount of time, if you have the vertical space.
- Hit the button to drop the car when the glass case around it starts moving.

Best Settings to Use For Each Job!

**Guardian Size:** If you're on any Oculus headset that isn't the Rift CV1, you have the ability to draw a playspace, called a guardian.

**Link Cable:** If you're on any Oculus headset that isn't the Rift CV1, you can play it with no link cable as standalone, or plug your headset into your PC and play it as PCVR.

Playspace Size: Any size doesn't give an advantage. I prefer the smallest one for simplicity sake.

Quest Link: Whether or not you use a link cable or standalone doesn't give an advantage.

# Store Clerk

Guardian Size: The largest possible size you can make it saves huge amounts of time.

Quest Link: Whether or not you use a link cable doesn't give an advantage, however the cleaning bot task becomes 3D with a link cable.

# Gourmet Chef

Guardian Size: The smallest possible size you can make it saves a lot of time.

Quest Link: Standalone gives an advantage because bug squishing happens out of the way of the plate.

# Auto Mechanic

Guardian Size: Largest possible size is best, but if you can't do it then small doesn't lose any time.

Quest Link: Standalone gives multiple advantages.

# All Jobs

Guardian Size: Largest possible size is best, because it saves a minute or maybe even more in store clerk, and only loses around 10-20 seconds in Gourmet Chef.

Quest Link: Standalone is best because it saves time in Gourmet Chef and Auto Mechanic and doesn't lose any in Office Worker and Store Clerk.

How to Extract Videos From Oculus to PC

1. Use your Quest-included charger or other USB-C to USB-C cable (a USB to USB-C cable works too) to plug your *running* Quest/Quest 2 into your *running* PC.
2. Go into your headset and click “Allow” on the prompt that appears. This lets your PC access the files of your Oculus Quest.
3. Open File Explorer
4. There should be a new folder on your sidebar titled “Quest,” “Oculus,” etc.. Open that folder.
5. Look inside all the files in your folders until you find your recorded videos. They should be in a folder called “Videos” or "VideoShots."

How to properly time your IL run!

If your video is a **YouTube video**, I like using this link:

(You can also retime YouTube videos with VidTimer, but I think it's a lot less convenient.)

If it's a YouTube link,

1. Go to your YouTube video, right click on the screen, go to "stats for nerds," and then find your framerate. Most Quest 2 users are around 30fps. Put it into the box that says "Framerate." 

2. Go to the start of your run and use the , and . keys on your computer to find the first frame of fadein. This means that you find the first frame you see something appear on-screen (I mean, the FIRST. It should be very hard to see the objects appearing.) 

3. Right click on screen, click "copy debug info" and paste it into the "Starting frame" box. 

4. Go to the end of your run. The ending frame will vary based on your job.

-Auto Mechanic and Store Clerk end when the final bots take their ticket/IDs (simultaneously when the taskboard turns green).

-Office Worker ends when you pull the lever all the way to "go home" (simultaneously when the taskboard turns green).

-Gourmet Chef ends when you ring the bell (simultaneously when the taskboard turns green).

5. Copy debug info again, and paste it into the "Ending frame" box. 

6. Click "compute time" and you are all set!

If your link is not YouTube or you just didn't want to use the YouTube specific one,

1. Find out what your framerate is. VidTimer gives you the option of 30 or 60 FPS, you may not be recording with either of those, but choose the closest one. 

2. Paste your link, and click "load video."

**Text Instructions:**

-Install MelonLoader at https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader.Installer/releases/tag/3.0.6

In MelonLoader:
-Go to Unity Game, press the select button, and find the Job Simulator application (you may need to go into your steamapps or oculus folder to find this!)
-Make sure the "latest" button is pressed next to the version dropdown.
-Click install.
If it works it should say "INSTALL was Successful."
This will create a mods folder in your Job Simulator folder.

-Download the mod at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SwzSHXb6n8I2H6rX4onw51M6SAueMHhp/view
-Drag the mod (.dll file) into your new mods folder in the Job Simulator folder.

*NOTE:* In September 2023, someone found that the mod only works when installing MelonLoader Version 0.5.7 or below. If it isn't working, try doing that.
