After weeks of struggling with this category and almost losing the hope that I'm even capable of PBing this run anymore we finally did it and pushed back into the Top 10! And all it took was running against average splits on accident and seeing those big green times! Very happy with this overall even though the early game was pretty meh, will take a while for me to improve this further...
