Does this happen to anyone else? Sometimes after I trick I just clip through the floor and start sliding around uncontrollably, until I either get up a hill (because that breaks me out somehow) or it kills me.

That happens to me aswell, but when I clip it thinks I'm still mid air and when I trick it thinks I failed landing or whatever. The same happens when I jump.

I think its a big they haven't dealt with yet.

Very much. It's probably because it doesn't like elevated spots.

The way this happens is that your character angle doesnt change when going up slopes. That means that on a steep enough slope a part of your character will just clip into the floor. Best you can do is to avoid jumping on parts like these, and just hope for the best.
