One interesting additional piece of information you could add to this thread is: how many of the games they mod do they also have a PB in? If any particular user lacks a PB in one or more of the games, that could be more potential evidence of mod farming.
You don't need to have a run submitted to moderate a series. Being a series mod means that you are overseeing how a particular franchise's leaderboards are defined - even if you just run 1 of ??? games that franchise/series may have. And obviously most of the times, the series mods will be moderators for every game in that series, even if they don't run most of those games - that is to help with implementing changes in case any of the particular game's mods aren't available due to any circumstances.
Stuff like Mario, GTA, Sonic, LoZ, Pokemon, Minecraft, etc. Series that have a lot of fan-game-related leaderboards. Most of the time, the series mods are a list of people who either have knowledge of the games or manage the communities they're related to outside of SRC - be it discords, other forums or reddit (if applicable), or old (pre-Speedrun.com) locations where the leaderboards were once held along with their related communities
The point being: being a series moderator does not mean someone's mod farming. Neither does it mean that someone who mods / is a verifier for a number of games is automatically a mod farmer.
Since someone pointed out to me that I am on that list I'll tell you why I am a mod on what 87 games. The reason being is that I am a series mod for Sonic and at least one series mod should be on all the games. I have spoken about this with other people about wanting to unmod myself from some games because so many runs end up on my verification page and it's hard for me to keep track on my own games that I do moderate on.
However, someone pointed out to me that it would be best to have at least one series mod on every game, so that just in case a game becomes inactive, that no one else can claim the board. Not to mention that I have 13 years of experience with running most of the games, knowledge of most of the games and managing the Sonic community.
This has actually happened with Sonic Unleashed (Wii), where the other mod just left without telling me. I didn't realise till I noticed that the run was close to 21 days and checked to see that they left and I was the only one there.
@DBcade is a moderator of 14 series and 308 games.
Still @DBcade with 308 games. @Jumpyluff mods 16 series which is the most
@jackzfiml thanks, its cool to see dbcade rise to the top. also i had no idea mod farming was such an addiction
