How/Where did you get your username?

Bonjour,

Honestly, it just kind of happened — I was messing around trying to come up with something that sounded cool but wasn’t taken everywhere. Mixed a couple of words I liked, added a twist, and boom, it stuck. Now it feels weird using anything else. Funny how something random can end up becoming your online identity.

My username came from my first (second) Minecraft Bedrock Edition account. The game has generated me the name DayCapybara794. I would use this name on most platforms, mostly as DayCap794 or just DayCap. Later on I renamed myself into DayPixel, thinking it associated with games a little more. My username in Minecraft is currently DayPixel794, but you might see me as Pixelly794, or just Pixelly. There are still platforms where different nicknames of me remain as it was impossible to change them, but that just makes my accounts more iconic.

I picked my username based on a mix of my favorite game character and a bit of personal flair. It just stuck over time and now it feels like part of my identity in every speedrun I post. Always fun seeing how creative everyone gets with theirs!

When I first dove into speedrunning, I was totally hooked on glitches and exploits — you know, that thrill of nailing a frame-perfect trick that just rips a game apart. I wanted a name that screamed that vibe. "Glitch" was an obvious pick, and "Pulse" hit me because it captures the crazy, heart-pounding precision of those runs, especially when you’re chasing a personal best. Put ‘em together, and GlitchPulse just felt right.
