[READ ME] An important information to new speedrun submissions

Hi everyone,

This page is moderated rarely so if you submit a new speedrun, I suggest joining the Discord server and requesting moderation in the #🥇deep-speed-running channel.

1-1 chest skip

First, get past the part where it tells you how to use melee. Next, jump and hold left near the end and cling to the side of the lower platform. After that, press jump and hold right and cling to the higher platform. Then, jump and hold left. This should get you to the top of the chest consistently. Continue to hold left and jump once you are on the left side of the chest. About halfway up, hold right and spam jump. This should get you to the top and bypass the ladder and bridge. Then, roll right until you reach the exit.

1-1 new chest skip

Hi! this is my first ever submitted...anything on speedrun.com. I found a guide from a few months back describing a way to skip the chest in 1-1. but the chest has been removed from the game as of now. So after a few minutes of grinding, I found that you can get on top of the crate in a variety of ways and if you jump off at the right place and hold right you can wall jump and skip the slime and crate.

1-3 lightning

First, get to the first platform above the spikes. Then, get to the middle of the platform. After that, hold left and roll. When the player is about to fall of the edge continue to hold left and jump. When you are close to the platform with the chest on it, spam jump. Once you make it to the platform, get to the exit.

1-5 lightning

jump onto the falling platform and hold left then roll. as you fall off: jump while still holding left and spam jump.

1-7 ledge grab

This trick starts by jumping to the left at the start and climb up the wall. Look for the 2nd thicker brick pattern in the wall from the top. Then, look for the pixel of the player hand. When the pixel reaches the bottom of that brick, jump and hold right. Then hold left and spam the jump button. This should get you to the next level.

2-3 Lift Skip

With practise this really isn't that difficult.

Start 2-3 like normal, but when the first platform is returning, jump onto it, and jump while on the edge, only when the platform stops. Only start holding right while almost at te hightest point of your jump and mash the jump button. You only have a few frames you can wall jump so you'll really have to mash. 

That's Bassicaly it, with some practise you're succes rate cn go above 80% since it really ain't difficult.

how to go frame by frame [PATCHED]

go into options and keep clicking on the difficulty to go to the next frame. if you finish a level. the screen will go black with the options in front of the black screen and your cursor will disappear just try to navigate to restart level and you will continue to the next level. I don't think this can be used in real runs, but it can be used to practice otherwise hard jumps

How to multi-melee [OUTDATED]

Easy answer: press bow and melee together. it is the most efficient way to do this strat and the most consistent. how it works is that melee attacks have a cooldown in the middle of their attack that can be cancelled by a bow attack. the bow attack has 6 frames of a startup animation that can be cancelled by a melee attack. so if you melee, cancel the cool down with a bow attack, then cancel that with another melee attack you can loop this to create a quick melee attack or "multi-melee.
