$500 will be rewarded to the runner in 1st place, $300 to the runner in 2nd place, and $200 to the runner in 3rd place.

All awards shall be in cash payable by electronic funds transfer.

By entering the challenge, participants grant Speedrun.com and Sponsor the right to use submitted footage for promotional purposes related to the challenge game, including but not limited to social media and video content. No additional compensation will be provided beyond the contest prizes.

Run must be performed between challenge start and end dates

Entries must be submitted by 11:59pm UTC April 15th, 2025.

Runs must be submitted here on the challenge leaderboard. Note that this is NOT the regular Metal Eden game page and leaderboard, this is a challenge board. Runs submitted to the regular leaderboard are not counted as entries for the Speedrun Challenge.

Runners are permitted to submit multiple runs to the challenge and are encouraged to submit all personal bests. When the challenge ends, only each runners fastest time will be displayed on the leaderboard - obsolete runs will still be visible on their profile.

Runners are discouraged from withholding their personal best times until late in the challenge. Failing to submit runs throughout the challenge may lead to disqualification for top times.

Cash prize may be subject to tax withholding based on a winner's country of residence

Run shall be verified to be in compliance with run rules (see below) and judged by Speedrun.com moderators and staff

Run must remain submitted throughout verification process; if run is deleted before verification and payout are complete, run/user is disqualified

Moderators have the right to hold, or even reject, any run they deem contrary to the spirit of the rules, even if the grounds for such a rejection are not explicitly listed in these rules. For example, if a runner submits a run that contains a trick or strategy that would give them an advantage over other runners and has not been shown to the wider community.

Runs that are eligible for prize winnings must be live streamed, with a VOD attached somewhere in the submission form.

Winners may be required to submit identify verification in order to claim prize

At sole discretion of Sponsor, entrant forfeits any prize if:

1. Runs that are eligible for prize winnings must be live streamed, with a VOD attached somewhere in the submission form.
2. Entrant fails to provide verification form within ten (10) business days of receipt of notification
3. Entrant fails to communicate with Sponsor to provide payment and all other necessary information within ten (10) business days of receiving a request for such information
4. Entrant is contacted and refuses the prize
5. The entrant is disqualified for any reason
6. In the event of disqualification, Sponsor, at its sole discretion, may award an applicable prize to the next eligible contestant, as determined by Contest and Challenge rules
