Tricks for First Dimension Boost Optimization

The first Dimension Boost is always an important part of a run, especially since it's one that can be greatly optimized and will impact the rest of the run if done correctly.

The first trick to understand is one that not many people might know. The trick in question is the effect from Secret Achievement 23 (S23), and to unlock said achievement you need to do the following button presses: Up Arrow key, Up Arrow key, Down Arrow key, Down Arrow key, Left Arrow key, Right Arrow key, Left Arrow key, Right Arrow key, B, A, Enter.

This achievement might seem to not do anything, but it actually has a use. If you have less than 30 antimatter (when the achievement is used), your antimatter amount is set to 30. This can be used to buy 3 extra 1st dimensions in the start, which is useful in a run where everything matters.

The second trick is exploiting the achievement multiplier bonus by getting Achievement 22 (R22) early. This achievement consists in having seen 50 news messages. To optimize this, the obvious might be to up to 200% news speed, but there's another thing we can do.

For the achievement to count you only need to 'see' the message, this can be exploited because you only need to see the first few letters for the message to count. By turning on and off the News Ticker, you can refresh the news early, and thus seeing more messages faster.

These two tricks can be used in combination to effectively save around 30 seconds, which might add up later in the run.

Another thing to consider is buying the new dimensions first to unlock the achievement (for the multiplier), and then buying the respective Tickspeed Upgrade, but trick I didn't test yet and might not be as useful as the others.
