New Strats (I think)

Buckle up because this is gonna be a long one. I found some new strats while playing wobble life recently and I'm gonna share them. throughout this I'm going to be referring to this run to show my strats. Also I'm just gonna call these random things feel free to rename them how you want. (P.S. I don't know if any of these were found before)

Velocity Cancel:

Ever since 0.8 I believe if you got out of a vehicle while it was moving you would carry that speed. But if you exit, enter, and exit the vehicle again you don't carry that velocity. You can see this in effect at 1:17 in the run (47 on the timer).

Stopping Midair (idk what to call it):

Due to the way the movement works if you don't press w, a, s, or d midair you keep your momentum, but as soon as you do you completely stop idk why. You can see this at 0:55 (25 on the timer).

Ragdoll Rejump (idk why that but i like it):

When you fall and land on the ground you typically ragdoll and have to way 3 or so seconds to get back up. But if you ragdoll before that when you land on the ground instead of having to wait you can immediately get back up. you can see this at 1:36 (1:06 on the timer). You can also do a frame perfect jump like in notsebo's run but that is much less consistent.

Intentional Velocity:

Velocity can slow you down most the time but using it right like at 1:33 (1:03 on the timer) combined with a rejump can be faster than trying to avoid it. I did it slow there but I have landed close to the present using it several times.

That's all I found for now but I might post strats in the comments if I find any more.

Idk that any of these are new. Previously I had a 2nd place time around 1:46 and my friend had the 1st place time of 1:42 (this one is not in the legacy tab for some reason but is this link: ), keep in mind this is from when you started timer at the start of the cutscene. These runs have become legacy runs despite the updates not changing the run at all but either way these strats have been used for at least 6 months. On top of that, there's 2 options we discovered that nobody is doing anymore despite being faster than all of the current strategies. These are to either land the plane on the 3rd to last present then fly to 2nd to last, or the faster but much harder to optimize strategy which is simply taking the cannister to the left of the hangar. This cannister cuts out all the time spent getting into and driving the jeep to the plane, as well as all the time it takes to take off in the plane. The plane strat was used in the 1:36 run and my 2nd place run used the cannister but still ended up being slow due an unoptimized cannister flight and no car spawning on the road and having to run to the gocart. Edit: Also just realized you didn't start your timer til maybe 2 seconds after getting up. You're giving yourself a free 5 seconds minimum on the run compared to where you're supposed to start.

Those are probably faster but also a bit harder. The strat where you land the plane and take off again is a bit faster and removes the luck of a car but also suffers from the time it takes to land, pick up the present, and take off again. And the canister strat is most definitely faster but also requires much more skill, luck from the car, and overall more resets but their both definitely worth trying. Also sorry that I stated already discovered strats because I was so caught up with them that I didn't bother to do research.
