This one comes from me as a restreamer and not a runner. The schedule and games were expectably good, always something to cast at ESA. But the setup times were over the top! I understand some older games are difficult to set up, but come on! Please do something about the setup times (they were good on Winter '19 IIRC), they mess up the schedule of the event and of the restreams alike.

Well that escalated quickly. I'll lock the thread and we'll leave it be as it is because out of 27 notifications I found in the morning all of them were forum posts and not actual runs on this board, so that kinda proves my point. On a side note - who even cares about meme 12-second runs? I mean, seriously, does anyone count them as real WR's?

You do realize that we're talking 44 runs since the board's inception which was 14 months ago? Besides, I'm only here because Tron's having PC issues and I'm ringing for him - he's been handling pretty well solo.

Hello. We the Stalker community would like to replace K_Dumsky with TheStalkerVal as a supermod in Shadow of Chernobyl. The reason is K_Dumsky went inactive with no intent on returning and considering the recent events (aka passwords leak) we don't want to take any risks. What we do want to have is full control of the leaderboard, since Stalker speedrunning has already experienced some major changes (IGT, v1.0 runs) and we firmly believe there are more to come. TheStalkerVal is a respected member of the Stalker community and also a supermod in two other games in the series (Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat) which makes him the best choice as the Shadow of Chernobyl supermod.

But what about alterations unlocked while playing the new game? My run was clearly started as a "new campaign" and not "rewind", yet it's considered an NG+ run because of alterations in the very beginning, with the timer still off. Kind of confusing - perhaps you should rename categories to "default loadouts" and "altered loadouts"?

I might have an idea about it. See if you did or did not get spotted on the forest stealth sequence (right before meet-up with Ghost's team) when you've caught the softlock - cuz to me, when i did, the game softlocked, but every run that did not include me getting caught got well.

Also, i once got softlocked on Second Sun. If you want to reproduce - throw a flash at Foley when he's talking to the message guy. He then never finishes his sentence and gets stuck in place. Another thing you might be interested in is removing Dunn in Second Sun. I only managed to do it once, off-record, never understood how to. That let me go through as the doors opened, saving like 6 seconds.

The run i recorded is Any Heroes Normal. Though i agree with Tenson in run having to be Any Heroes, i'm not sure there's a need to make it legendary - it's simply way too hard. Maybe Expert or Hard will be enough?

Here it is. Done with 3 more random ppl, but i suppose it should be listed as 4-man co-op. IGT's the same, give or take a second.

4-man any heroes co-op speedrun. While the hacking part is locked, payload part has only the time floor, but no time ceiling - payload doesn't move until you clear the area around it. OR14 part is speedrunnable, getting between consoles to hack is speedrunnable and gathering around payload is speedrunnable.

  • the Strike Force missions. They aren't included in the speedrun, since they're optional, plus "Second Chance" can be skipped fully even if you want the "good" ending. SFs are speedrunnable (except for FOB Spectre and I.E.D, but you still can fail on them so they're included) and somewhat resemble SpecOps missions from MW2/3. All 6 SF missions (including Second Chance) are available after the campaign, so playing them all in a row isn't a problem. If such category would be good, here's the rules: 1)Recruit difficulty, just like the campaign. 2)All 6 Strike Force missions (Training, FOB Spectre, Second Chance, I.E.D, Shipwreck and Dispatch) have to be completed, but the order is up to the runner. 3)Time starts after the runner loads the first mission they want to play, right after "mission briefing" screen and ends after the last kill made.
