So something people who run Alien campaign may have noticed is that during the tutorial Dr. Groves skips a couple lines of dialogue after you defeat the armed test subject, prior to the Queen cutscene. It's only like 5-8 seconds. But in a 14 minute run, every bit helps y'know.

Those lines seem to be cut if he hasn't finished the previous line before you kill the subject.

The dialogue after you hiss: 1.) "Caution, Six? A strong indicator of intelligence." 2.) "But how do you know of the threat?" [Potential Skip] 3.) "Mr. Weyland WAS right." 4.) "Very good." 5.) "That's enough for today, I think..." [Queen Cutscene]

I've found the easiest way to repeat the skip is by waiting until after Groves says "Caution, Six?" before you even enter the room. Then just close in on the subject and grab and kill him. The timing takes a bit of getting used to, but that seems to be a good general guideline.

So with rediscovering that i have this game on my computer and finding that I still enjoy it, I'm probably going to speedrun it.

So I was just wondering if the mods here are still watching out for runs to approve.

Also is there any way we could add a NG+ category? I mean, NG is cool and all, but I think NG+ deserves a spot.

I thought we should have a thread for clips and other things that help throughout the run.

So far I've only found one, skips the entire first trebuchet section, but loads when you hit the next trigger.

So Trebuchet Skip:

Ideally a route for NG+. Any% would have to route agility orbs and potentially mystery orbs as well.

A basic break-down of where to extract after completing an objective. No true order, as long as you do the later-lettered ones last on each beacon cluster. (i.e. You can do N1, N2, and O before you do B and C. You just have to make sure you do O and C as the last of each group.) Lines perpendicular to the absorption beam represent walls you need to destroy.
