I am trying to update a game and I keep getting blocked by a message that says "Please match requested format." I think it is the URL that is giving me trouble, but nothing I put in matches whatever the requested format is. Can anyone help?
Howdy all! As you may know, speedrun.com has recently started allowing comments under videos. This has been controversial. One problem that has occurred is that some of the comments have been hateful or offensive. We are all trying to figure out the best way to deal with this change. We have a pretty quiet community here, so I am not anticipating major problems. However, if you ever come across a hateful or offensive comment in this category, please feel free to dm me. I really want this category to be a positive supportive group, and I will not tolerate any of you suffering abuse.

Hello, I set up the rules for speedrun submissions in a way that I thought made the most sense. However, since I was operating in a vacuum, I didn't get any feedback on them. If anyone has any thoughts on improving the rule set or wants to discuss the rules, please let us know your thoughts!
If you talk to the prison guard while you have the ITT quest and know she is in prison, she spawns in Jump house, in the pose she appears in prison, not in the pose she appears when she is available for hire. Talking to her like this completes the quest and gives karma.
Hi, I started practicing Shipwrecked runs and have decided not to use Wilson. Since no one else seems to be running this game, can the rules be changed to allow any NPC?
Hi, I would like to suggest that the all rules requiring Wilson as the character be withdrawn. As has been shown by Mitsutom's recent run, the theory that Wickerbottom would be an unfair advantage is faulty. Secondly, even if a character provides an advantage, it doesn't make sense to restrict them since in a speedrun the point is to go fast, and use whatever the best tools are within the framework of the game to accomplish the goal. What is more, I have seen several (possibly ineligible) speedruns of people using non-Wilson characters. It makes no sense to arbitrarily reject potential claimants in a category that could use as many competitors as possible. This group is effectively preventing speedruns from being restricted to an individual pc (usually Wickerbottom) by restricting them to an individual pc (Wilson). It makes no sense and should be abolished.

As far as I understand it the timing starts from the dialogue prompt with the hotel owner and ends with the appearance of the Licourtrix. I am very confused by the end point because I have no idea what frame "the dragon's head appears" means. Would it be alright if we changed end point to final dialogue prompt with Licourtrix? I think that would be a much easier frame to pinpoint. On a side note I am unsure if it is allowed to stall on the hotel keeper's input or if the tier starts as soon as the dialogue prompt appears.

Secondly I wanted to ask opinions re: sound. I have been running the game with sound off when practicing bc I have difficulty figuring out how to listen to audiobooks or Twitch and not have it recorded in OBS. At the same time, what with several high profile faked speedruns in the news, if people feel sound should be mandatory to make it harder to cheat, I have no problem with it even if it would dq a few of my submissions.

Third of all, while it should be obvious, I would like the rules to explicitly state that any exploit must be set up in the speedrun. For example, crashing the cpu to open all the doors must not have been set up in a previous game. I have heard there are other ways to confuse the game by flipping between save slots, and those should be outlawed as well, since the save slots would have been set up in advance. I am unsure if save state abuse would hypothetically be allowed if they are all set up during the same run, but I know of no potential use for this.
Let me know what you think of these suggestions and if you have any other ideas!
Hey! I may go for goblin siege % at some point, but wanted to ask for a discussion about rules. As far as I know goblin sieges can't occur until you get 80 pop, which basically means I would just be playing a normal game of Dwarf Fortress for 5 hours or so trying to get my population up. This brings up the question of advanced world gen, since it is technically legal in the rules as I understand them to give yourself 10k embarkation points. Which is kind of a lot, and would honestly make those 5 hours kind of dull bc it would be too easy. If I submit a run where I just use the standard "create world" option, could we have the rules for that category require standard world gen? The 10k points wont make the run that much faster (the wealth requirement for goblin sieges isn't very high), but it would make it duller to me.
