Yeah it seems to happen when you collide with the wall at a certain point, there is a very small gap in the starting line. Happens on sea change and regulator too.
I realised that when I first got my 25min. There's no reasonable way to calculate it though since the game speed fluctuates and I can always get a better phone lol (which i hope to soon) and do ILs. We could try contacting the dev, see if he could maybe make some better optimisation settings for slow phones?
An IGT as well as real time would be useful but no point finding out the IGT since there's no timer on security neXus and the last three levels. Just have to leave it as it is unfortunately
Sadly I think it's dependent on your phone, I found that using the "optimise" button on the settings is slower than not using it but that might just be my phone which is 4 years old now lol. If you look at the Message IL record I lose out on 5+ seconds on a straight level :/ I've looked up the issue before but seems the only solution is to get a better phone. My game speed during recording is the same as without but sometimes ill get big lag spikes
^ reminds me of "glitches allowed" in Ballz. Just a normal time mode full game category would be good.
Yeah it doesnt have a PAL-60 option sadly. I did see some people hacked their Wiis and region changed it to the USA and it would output an actual NTSC signal but I don't want to risk bricking my wii. I'll return the one i have now and get an EZcap (It does say it supports PAL-60 how didnt i notice that before!) Thanks guys :)
Hi I've been looking for a capture card that supports PAL60 and a lot of them online don't outright say that they do PAL60 just the general NTSC / PAL / SECAM etc. I'm trying to capture from my Wii by the composite cables and the capture card that i brought recently (August VGB100) works fine with PAL50 but when trying to play on 60Hz it's just in black and white, no colour :( And i've tried to get colour but not had any success.
Try the AZ screen recorder and optimise the settings: I have it on 480p with 24fps
Right, well I would say adding an in-game time along side the rta to the leaderboard.
We should have a standard emulator and add it to the rules since josef's run the in-game timer goes way too fast. BGB is probably the best choice of emulator here.
It is a reasonable rule as said because of possible glitches and how easy screenshots are easy to fake these days so I am in favour of it
The individual levels are short and if you are dedicated to try and get a good time on these levels I don't see why you can't head to the Apple/Play store and install a screen recorder which takes two minutes

I think it's not that bad atm. Maybe make a separate whole speedrun leader board for it? Like Ballz (Windows Phone) I've seen some other games do this when the game varies a lot on a certain platform
If you watch shot 13 on BrokeSatan's 25 run and focus on the red triangle block on the left you can see two balls that hit it and bounce off in an angle that wouldn't happen if it was a square so I'm certain they do act like triangles. This would also mean that in two rows next to each other, if a triangle block is directly above a square block it is possible hit the balls into the triangle's long side and bounce it down to hit the square and back to the hit the triangle again etc. Yet I still need to see proof of this and this is impossible in the original version as you need a gap/another row between two squares above one the other to do this method.
Edit: To clarify, this ball travels like this because of the triangle If the triangle was a square/acted like a square it would have gone like this
As you can see the outcome of shots and ball ricochets vary greatly with a block being a square or triangle.
Interesting how different it is on WP. I think it should be a separate category since there are triangle blocks which affects gameplay and strategy plus it is possible for two (maybe even more) ball items to spawn on a row whereas the original version it is only one per row. These are only two easily noticeable differences so far, there could be far more internal mechanics that could vary like RNG and ball physics, maybe even ball speed? I think a separate category is the most appropriate solution.
