Hello, long time enjoyer of the franchise here. ScummVM's most recent daily builds (with the version number 2.8 ) have support for Secrets Can Kill. I ran through the game today with the Aprill 11 2023 build and did not notice anything odd or peculiar, in fact I think the game runs quite well. I did some test speedruns of both No-Glitch and Any%, both went okay for my first time speedrunning either category (yes the glitch does work in scummvm!). The only road bump I see is that the standard "stack of books" menu is replaced with ScummVM's default menu. I have not tested how fast it would take to save and load in ScummVM compared to saving/loading natively in Windows because I am simply not experienced enough in speedrunning Nancy Drew to try. Regardless, I would like to submit these runs I did today, but I would like to ask for permission first. Is it cool if I submit these ScummVM runs?

I've been doing attempts at GOTY for a while now, but I've hesitated to submit a run for one reason.

So in og BYSB runs, I've noticed y'all start with Andy and then switch to Pete after you unlock him in the Boardwalk. In GOTY, if you unlock Pete once in the game, you unlock him for good, which means that if I start a new game, I can use Pete throughout the entire run.

So my question is: Would that be a legit run or would I have to find some way to run the game like in OG BYSB?
