As a mod for the game you are talking about, i highly suggest you do not stop your recording. We require all footage for the runs provided nothing is to be cut out for any reason.

Submissions must contain all footage for the runs provided. You MUST have full video proof of the entire run start to finish. having a video or screenshot of just the end game time is not verifiable.

hmm that does make things a little trickier.

I know for Ps4 there's only a small load with the door during the bathtub sequence and it's only maybe 1-2 seconds Looking at Xbox it seems to be the same so much for me thinking Switch was faster.

I don't have a Switch yet. I plan to buy one once they are in stock (and not over priced) I would be willing to go in and manually time the loads on a switch once I get one in the future.

I still think this is doable and we could do one of two things.

One - acknowledge that the door load on Switch are more than the other consoles but just leave it as is. Since you lanzaa are the only Switch runner and from what I've seen with other boards, the Switch is rarely a go to console for speedruns (granted unless its a actual switch game lol) but this does also go against the whole point of my thread wanting things to be more even and fair.

Two- remove all the loads with doors along with the painting loads, this would require a re time on all runs but would not be as hard as you may think. Just mark the frames of when the load starts and ends, then cut it out as you watch.. then when done add a timer. Since this is RTA anyway and you already re time all runs that are submitted, it would not be out of your way to do. and like I said before, I would be willing to help. I have experience in re timing RTA runs since I too am a mod of a few games.

Hi, I went and looked into the load times for base Ps4, Xbox, and Switch and noticed that there is a big time difference between the three.

I grabbed the top three runners VODs since we are both on different consoles.

here's what I found.

As you can see PS4 is loosing a lot of time compared to the others with the Switch being the fastest. (GG Switch)

This is of the end of the first chapter. Granted I have not looked into if Load times are different within plays or different within chapters and that could be a possibility... i'm willing to look more into this in the future though

Based of the facts of these three videos

PS4 base has a load of 00:06.266 Xbox has a load of 00:01.900 Switch has no load GGs

Since there are 6 chapters PS4 is loosing around 36 seconds (give or take) Xbox is loosing around 12 seconds (give or take) Switch is loosing no seconds (again GG Switch)

My question is this.. Would it be possible to time the runs without loads to make things more even and fair?

note the without loads i'm referring to is the save icon that pops up on the bottom right. since the game is already timed RTA I don't see this being a big hassle.

I would also be willing to re time all the runs if you want. I can do it with Hitfilm Express.

the amount of runs re5 got does not even compare to what RE Remakes runs are getting.. in fact i'm pretty sure RE3R has already surpasses Re5 in submitted runs... so honestly no, you don't know what it's like. Moderators team up and tackle a big queue in many ways. One person may verify the top of the list (recent submissions) while another mod may do the bottom of the list.. Divide and conquer here people. It keeps mods from stepping on other mods toes when there are multiple people looking at a queue.

So yes it will happen, someone else who submitted after you may get verified first and you are going to have to deal with it.. if not well then Bye Felicia.

Hi everyone! I been reading this forum post and have seen you guys really putting in work for Pistol Only runs.

Correct me if i'm wrong here:

Assisted and Standard can be done without NG+ items And i've noticed you guys are picking up the Magnum too.

My question for you, is it impossible to complete without the Magnum? Has anyone tried this on other difficulties yet?

At first we where going to solve this big problem by making the PC runs RTA with a load remover, but because how the game is programmed this would not solve the problem so sadly we are unable to do that. With more talking we all agreed that the 2nd best course of action would be to have a 120 FPS cap. @NuZ

We have already looked into this . All of yesterday the entire mod team compared side by side runs and have found no evidence of cheating. Please stop.

There are multiple mods for this game. We are just not on the board yet. Anyway talk of the demo has already been done on the forum. We are not doing the demo. Any% category is a given. As for the demo we have no plans to add that to the board. Please be patient. Categories wont be put up till we all get a hold of the game.

The demo is not out yet in most places. People are changing there regions to get the game early.

If anyone has any further information DM a mod on discord or SR.C I recommend discord because currently SR.C notifications are not working.

There's nothing wrong this this guys run. Everything he did is what we call strats, techniques used to dodge enemies. If you look at any other run you will see these runners using this. Please don't make a account and bash runners publicly on your first day. Do your research before you accuse someone of cheating. Better yet just DM a mod and will happily let you know. You can do that by going to a moderators profile and you will see "send message"
