United StatesSpamming the cheats and controlling the speed are all available on the registered version. This run is very sloppy, but it's more just a proof of concept. My goal was to get below 1 minute, so I am satisfied with this run.

I know with the A, usually enemies that touch you will die. However, on this boss, it always seemed like touching the boss itself would kill one of the lasers instead. But this one time, it directly killed the boss. If it worked here, I'm sure it could work even much sooner?
I have no idea, but I would think it works just fine! You'll have to update us on that :D

for anyone new who stumbles in here, here's what the run looks like. Planning a tutorial in time.

I have since improved upon the route you see TGH doing a little bit (maybe only like 25-30 seconds of time save). I am doing runs of this again so you can feel free to check out the improvements and I hope to make a tutorial as well.
As far as history goes... I had this route bouncing around my head for 3 years, and people told me I couldn't do it because of an issue entering the DH causes with one of the photographs. I found a work around for this issue and some free time, then grinded out about a week or two of non-stop routing. There isn't much history behind the run itself, the glitches used however... well, that starts at the release of LA back in the early 90's haha.
Anyway, once I get a good enough time (sub 40) I'll be submitting to the leader boards in hopes my run is accepted. It will definitely end up in the misc category, unless enough people took it seriously- and even then probably wont ever go main :)

I disagree. Superjumps are very similar to bomb hovers. So long as you don't use it to go oob.
Looking to other Zelda games, "No major glitches" means no duplicating, but allows for breaks in trading sequences. For example: OoT 100% (no major glitches [the most common 100% category for the game])- you cannot duplicate ANYTHING. You CANNOT duplicate hearts, heart pieces, heart containers- you also CANNOT duplicate skultulas and keep in mind those are "a means to an end."
This is pretty standard for a no major glitches category.
NOW as far as bomb/event triggers, in general, go... I personally have no input. It seems like a "major glitch" to me. However, I don't know enough about the programming/behind the scenes stuff to have an educated opinion
As Zorlax said "We do not allow duplication of other items"- why are we even discussing it? :)

I do agree, Cransoon. You should run the game as you please- whether it is accepted on to a certain website's leaderboards doesn't matter too much.
However, I do agree that "no duping" should be implemented in the rules- as it is already a rule that exists, we just don't have it clearly stated.
I don't agree with rules in speedrunning personally, but I do believe if we allowed for SS duping, we would have to allow for heart dupes- and then furthermore... What I'm saying is simply that SS duping would not fit into this category. It would feel out of place and only add to the rule-set confusion.
No duping is clearly something the current hundo% stands by, so why not just make it official?
Ultimately, the goal is based on your inventory screen at the end of the game. I don't think anything else matters. So, by this standard, I think it should be allowed- HOWEVER, this is a category riddled with stupid rules to make it fun to watch- that's all it is, it has no logic behind what is/ is not allowed.
If this duping is allowed though, it only further makes me believe 100% isn't a logically sound category. Making rules as we go to fit what we want to/do not want to see... You simply cannot allow duping of one thing, and ban it for another.
Duping to my understanding is ruled out according to the current rules.
