That is a bit condescending. Not everyone speedruns for world records.
My only care was about VOS knife only. The other categories isn’t an issue.
I’ll just run that category on pc. It isn’t worth losing hundreds of hours for 1 perfect VOS knife run.
It makes zero sense to have 1 category that is almost impossible to accomplish. That’s a challenge run, not a speedrun.
Then using 50 dollars as pay to win. Then buying the game is pay to win. Sorry but that definition is being misused.
I read that argument. Saying 2 factory xboxes or ps4 with different loading times is pay to win shows an inconsistency with the definition of pay to win.
How is console pay to win when everyone buys the same console? Especially on ps5 or XBSX where they already have nvme?
Explain how a factory system is pay to win? Even with a external ssd. So 50 dollars is pay to win?
The best knife runners on pc can’t get through VOS without dying. Console VOS knife only is going to be empty for a long time before someone gets lucky enough to get through. Yes it’s luck because skill doesn’t protect from some of the combos on VOS. Too many one shot deaths in VOS at no fault of the knife runner.
I would suggest 60 FPS. Sounds like you have a 30-60 monitor.
Hello, I have a question. I know the rules for console says no deaths. After playing through hardcore knife only, I know I can eventually have a no death run. I don’t think no deaths is reasonable for VOS for knife only console. I am asking for the mods to talk it over to allow a real time timer for VOS knife only. Only for VOS. This would allow deaths and time will be counted correctly.
I feel if this doesn’t happen, this will be an empty category. It won’t be pay to win because of how hard it is. It will still be all skill.

Butter knife isn’t really fun on console or PC with controller. My twitch has the pc run showing the controller inputs. Boss fights are crazy trying to stay in control while spamming triggers and bumpers. I am going to get my best times in each category but that will be the end of it.
Karambit is a good knife but not OP. Since when are 3-6 min boss fights OP? The 3 sisters aren’t boss fights either. They are just story line with no HP.
I am looking at the miranda fight. the rules say use the gun when prompted, not pipe bomb. I would have to try it on another account but the pipe bomb is definitely giving damage at the end. I know this is a low % category but this is stretching the rules a bit.
Using the pipe bomb in the castle is necessary to continue the story. that's why knives out allows it. Not sure if it would allow it in the Miranda fight.
I am not trying to be difficult but I have a question on pc knife only glitchless world record. The player used a pipe bomb and shotgun after he was grabbed by Miranda. I know we can shoot her with the infinite handgun there but i didn't know you can use a pipe bomb to blow her up and the shotgun. My run wasn't allowed after i accidently got the free heal which is dlc. my fault. I just don't know if there is consistency in this category. Also i thought we could only shoot the things we couldn't reach with a knife to continue the story line, not shoot every door lock, wood trigger, etc in Moreau/factory sections, with a gun and shotgun.
I was under the impression the LRT was a separate program. If it isn’t then I am good. I played through a whole game and it seems to work properly.
I have the splits working but can’t find the link to the LRT. I looked all over discord but missing where it is.
I would enjoy this run. Magnum and upgrades should be allowed. It’s possible but very tight on ammo.
I could see a NG+ game for the higher difficulties.
I think I already showed an external ssd will make up most of the difference in the elevators and loading screens for older gen consoles

I have no issues using the regular knife on casual, standard, and hardcore. It is difficult but can be done. Hardcore just becomes a 3 hr speedrun. lol
The question is which knife is going to be allowed during the run?
