Just want to chime in to say thanks for the lenience and verifying the run in question here! To be honest coming from any% I kind of did that part on autopilot and didn't even consider that I was skipping something. I'd be completely fine with removing the run depending on the outcome of this thread (maybe I'm optimistic but I hope to beat the time somewhere in the near future anyway :D).

On the subject, I'd be fine with either decision but I can imagine it's unfair to the current runs to allow it (since they could have potentially shaved off a couple of seconds had they been allowed to spike skip).

Maybe this is for a seperate thread, but I'm also not completely clear on coop 100% rules. I don't see anyone doing the glitches where you pick up the other toad in elevator and revolution but the rules don't explicitly mention those aren't allowed. I assume those are okay since you're showing 100% of the content? Though the same argument could be made for rat race pick-up.

Thanks! I'm already mindblown about the bike skip, I had no idea there was a skip in surf as well. Our PB is not very serious but we're definitely going to do some research now that I know these are theoretically possible.

I'm trying to run any% and 100% with a friend at the moment, and I was wondering if there's any information, guides or communication channels people use outside of this forum to share strategies. Does everyone figure these things out by themselves through watching runs and reverse engineering?

As an example of a question we have at the moment; we assume coop bike skip is impossible because we don't see anyone doing it. We're curious what the technical reason for this is. Is it just because you'd have to skip with both bikes and the second one is too far?
