Would you say that the PS3 versions -the American and the European (I haven't tested the Japanese), have the slowest performance of all? (and between these two the PAL is even slower) Because I played a little the game on a PAL PS One (2000 version) console and I noticed right away how quickly you pick up the items! PS2>PS1>PS3. Something like that perhaps? But fast from the aspect of performance only, not IGT. Right? Or...

For the record, I tested it and the time limit is not 120mins, but 90. If you exceed 1h 30m you lose 0.5 points. At least on the PAL version.

In my first 10-15 attempts in speedrunning Silent Hill, I kept getting hit from the monster inside the cafe, because of the PS3's trigger button, that is totally unsuitable as an "R2". But I don't dare to change that button, I already have too many things to remember about this game. PS4's D-pad is of very high quaity, no doubt.

I still haven't managed to get a 10 stars ranking, not for a speedrun, I just felt that I could complete that challenge eventually, especially now that I have everything fresh in my memory. I think it's now or never. ;) I read Punchy's very helpful guide about the matter and I have a question about-what else, the kill count.

I read: "You need a large number of both kinds of kill (shooting and melee), but in a roughly even ratio". In my last run I had 84 melee kills and 90 with a gun. Both categories in White at the results screen. And I haven't touched any of the bonus weapons. So the game is so punishing that this small difference of 6 kills between the two sub-categories is unacceptable? Or am I doing something else wrong? For instance I'm not 100% sure what endings I have unlocked in that save file. (I've transferred it from a PS1 memory card, I don't quite remember what I had done back then. :)) So is it mandatory, as I have read in some fora, to have first gotten all the endings? It's not so clear.

Zero progress. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I think "Bigmanjapan" files in Resources don't include splits, you have to create them yourself from scratch and I can't find any tutorial how to do it, or already created splits to download them as LSS files. In the Edit Splits table it says that there is no autosplit for this game (Silent Hill) I didn't think it would be so complicated. Anyway thanks. I should go back to practicing my runs now. :P

Hello friends, I have two questions: In the resources section "BigmanJapan" has kindly added a timer tool that helps you keep track of your time as you play the game. I have epsxe 2.0.5, but I don't know how to make this add-on work, like you have to put in some file? I really have no idea. The second question: How can we use such a tool with consoles? Since the emulator runs are more for practice. I've seen it in some PS1 and PS2 runs. Thank you in advance!

In the RE2 rules for the Playstation version, it says, "Show Playstation Driver after a run is completed". What exactly is a Playstation driver and how can I "show" it?
