https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame Read the rules carefully: if this is a "dumb science [web] game", I have doubts it'll be accepted.
As a moderator, Google Drive is a little concerning because it has limited storage space, so what if a runner eventually deletes their video? But that's not too likely, so I generally accept. That said, many runners in my experience who do submit Google Drive links forget to adjust their sharing settings for the file so anyone can view it without logging in to a Google Account, so I reject those runs and ask these runners to resubmit with this adjusted.
SPRT is super convenient but I've found it can be inaccurate if your video buffers as you're trying to find the right frame. If you care about being as precise as possible, downloading videos is the way to go (or just using SPRT slowly).
Always check the game and category rules for the game you wish to run, but in most cases you do not need a timer. Downloading from the original website of the software is safe if the software is safe--I can personally vouch for the safety of this page if you want LiveSplit. That said, if you're sure you don't want to download anything, you can always use LiveSplit One, which runs in your browser, no downloads required.
As fun as Wikipedia speedrunning might be (I assume you mean something like getting from one article to another with hyperlinks only), not only is it impossible to standardize, but it won't be accepted on this site. As the game request rules state, "non-video-game activities" will not be accepted, and Wikipedia isn't a game.
I don't believe so, but you could always copy that information and paste it in the run comments of the replacement runs.
@FutureGames Certain sites (think Newgrounds, etc.) use Flash emulators, so you can use Flash games.
@Pizza_Poohz You'll have to make them yourself. Spriter's Resource is a good place to start.
@Hako , they're distinct. I suggest you do some reading on the topic, but in short, the point of choosing pronouns is to use what feels comfortable, and they/them doesn't feel comfortable for some individuals. (They/them is popular in comparison to other neopronouns, so it's understandable to not be familiar.)
Keep in mind that for all games with sane rules, the LiveSplit timer is just for show, and not what determines your leaderboard time. Otherwise, timer cheating would be rampant.
I kinda wish the new trophy was a little more rounded at the top, it's too pointy for my tastes.
@DarkJohnnyBravo The in-game timer is the timer which shows in-game after the credits. That is not the timing used for this leaderboard.
As a game moderator, you get to define the rules (though generally it's a good idea to poll your game's community if it exists). I'd also look at prior precedent in other PS2 games, but I'm afraid I don't know of any examples.
