Ok that was all my fault, I noticed that while using Shrimp's save, the crash does not appear. So as you suggest , I have to work on my timing for the save glitch.

EDIT: I'm a little ashamed of myself for posting a thread that big for something I was doing wrong the all time, the thing is that I was no longer using pause during the save glitch, the glitch will work but the crash also occur. With the time I had totally forgot that you can use pause...

So if anyone in the future is in need , what I do now is -wait for the lighter part of the load bar -hit pause -quicksave, quickload -hit pause again in the next loading screen

I'm currently running this game (PB is 35:15) and I'm experiencing the "famous" crash at Stonehelm after the horse pause launch . I know how to avoid it, ( by triggering the trigger at the bottom of the stairs, like Elgu shows here

So as you can guess, the game keep crashing during the loading screen (100% of the time and with or without the pause launch. What seems to causes that crash is the quicksave/quickload trick just after the prologue), it could not be that bad if the game had time to autosave at the top of the guard's tower but it's not. So, the only way I found is to setup a save (by doing the game with a casual route), saving the game just after the crash and when I'm running I don't skip anything, I just use the save after the game crash (so I don't win time, in fact i'm loosing time because as you know the timer run in the menu).

I do understand that this way is not truly legit, but it's for me the only way to keep speedrunning this game. So if anyone have a solution I'll take it, otherwise what do you think about adding this to the rules of the speedrun? (If this is not ok, can we ad a new category, crash% maybe?)

I did a video for showing you exactly how I do that (you can notice that the save is set in 2020, like that it's always on the top of the loading menu)

I also want to ad that I tried to reinstall the game, clear cache, I'm running the game on low settings. I even tried to run it on a virtual machine with Windows XP version, as expected that was pretty awfull.
