Downloading onto my xbox one right now. Anyone else start up yet?

I'm hoping to run it. Feel like there will be categories for each character seeing as they have different mechanics and would make for different run routes.

The Secret Art Gallery is there and you can only get to it after getting the crazy epic chainsaw shotgun from the Forbidden Dungeon. All the Galleries are required for 100%

Been busy with a lot of complicated life stuff, but sometime this week I hope to submit my 100% run!

Congrats on an amazing run. Though I did see a lot of spots where time could be saved and I'd love to share them with someone who managed to top my time. I have a current PB of 1:06:58 but the audio corrupted and never had a reason to try again. Now I have the drive to play this game again thanks to you and I would like to share my tricks with an equally skilled runner :D

What is the difference between Any%NG and Any%Console? I'm utterly new to this game and waiting on it to finish downloading(played a bit of hardcore on a friends xbox ages ago) and am planning on running it after I learn the base game.

...But I have set up the 100% run based on the rules given. Will be submitting a run hopefully soon!

I picked up this game recently after watching Hutt's playthrough on youtube and loved every minute of it. As a newbie speedrunner(I've only got 1 game under my belt XD) I wanted to try a speedrun of this, so I looked up the routes and noticed no one has plotted the 100% route.

So I'm working on it! But I would love some help if anyone has any tips to offer!

I recently picked up this game and am taking a break from my other Speedgame and decided to give this one a try. I came across an interesting glitch in my research that at level 5 allows you to open all the portal doors (if it still works that way) making it possible to skip a few fights (I am still experimenting) As I can't verify anything just yet, I won't be bugging about too much. But if I can get this to work I would love to see an Any% category for this :)

I fully understand, at the time of making this post I was unaware of the amount of players for this game, but thank you for the response! It was also my first run ever and I was overly excited XD

It only applies to NG+. All weapons and gear get reset when you run in NG because you delete the save data. Co-op is also unaffected in NG. The Co-op relies more on glitch power than damage anyway. It would take too long in NG to obtain the weapons for a speedrun. I'm perfectly happy with subcatagories. Sorry for late reply. I'm at work and doing this post from my phone XD

I was studying the amazing world record run for NG+ and realized that I can never beat it. not because of lack of skill, but lack of Canopic Jars.

Back when this run was done you could collect jars where your friends died allowing you to obtain ONYX weapons which are legendary gear and absurdly powerful, able to do way more damage than any other gun you could obtain.

As I don't have any friends playing the game, I have no way to obtain these jars, no way to obtain Onyx weapons, and therefore cannot even think of competing with the current world record.

Is it possible to add an option of With/Without Onyx Weapon ???

Otherwise, as I said, this run is impossible to beat unless I get someone to die repeatedly so I can get the jars.

How long does it take to verify a run? O-O

So today I decided to try my hand at speedrunning this. I did a Pistol and Bomb only run, using the scepter where its required. The run was done in NG+ as I had already done a run of the game and have no idea how to reset to NG. The run took me 1 hour 53 minutes and 34 seconds. I don't have a capture card to record yet but will soon and will be submitting the run at that time. Would it be possible to add "Pistol Only" as a run option? And by Pistol Only I mean that Rings and an Amulet are allowed, but you CANNOT CONSUME AMMO.

I have never done a speedrun prior to this. I have only done one prior run of the game which was my first playthrough ever. I mapped the run as I went and made many clumsy mistakes and feel I could really shave that time down with a few more attempts.

But I would love to see this kind of challenge speedrun added ^_^ I understand if it doesn't happen.
